Because most of the people, if we were to review NBA 2K14 next gen, we wouldn't give a 10 neither. But we'll probably score it the same or one point higher than CG 2K14.

IMO, it deserves a higher score than Fifa 14 next gen. The Fifa reviewer stated that the game graphics are slightly better than CG and it plays nearly identical. So how can a 2K14 with substantially better graphics than it's CG counterpart and plays the similar as well, get a lower score? Like all reviews, it's the opinion of that person. Like I stated earlier, 8.9 still isn't bad at all, but it should have probably been slightly higher.
I haven't played FIFA in years but from I've heard it's a deep experience, CG 2k is as well, but modes and such were removed which is why it received a lower score, which makes sense why rate something higher if it's lacking from its predecessor. My opinion we'll see the biggest improvement from CG to NG in Madden with all the changes being made and area's improved on. I also think that most people all re to hung up on the wrong things as far as NG goes, all you hear is talk about the graphics when the excitement of NG is truly the depth and immersion That will be added to games now. If people care so much about graphics and stunning image's, go and watch pixar movies all day.

A score of 4.5=not playable if you ask me, and I just see how and gamer could consider any Madden, Live, or FIFA title not playable.
You must really love EA. 2K isn't perfect but their animations are pretty good and for the most part, their attention to detail. FIFa is a good game. But looking at what other sport titles did on CG, Madden was a joke on CG (damn near unplayable). Live 10 was a good game and then Live went away for a few years (so for those few years it was unplayable).

EA makes games (as of lately, saying they make good games is a stretch) and their games could be a hell of a lot better. But hey, this is a new generation of games, who knows what the future will bring for EA, hopefully they finally catch up to other sport genres.

MyCareer and Park, those don't interest me either.
Well no point in wasting your money if you feel that way

I see this thread has turned into another fanboy war and not about the actual topic?

Do you guys have anything about the review to contribute or should I lock this now before someone gets banned

Let it run its course. It's entertainment for me while I'm in a doctors waiting room.

When people come in here and start hating on 2k because they set the expectations through the roof on the first next gen game its bound to happen

Re: NBA 2K14 Next-Gen Review (IGN)

I know this comment will probably be looked over but: I would love for a sim head to get their hands on this so we can see if sliders for the CG work for the NG. I'm interested to see if the foot planting and the apparent ball physics (finally you have to think before you pass and dribble into traffic) are effected by sliders.
