I just had some concern because from all the screenshots and trailers EA has released, I didn't remember spotting any refs anywhere in the screens or the "big" trailers they have released in the past months...I could be wrong and maybe I just missed seeing the refs in the trailers, but I just did not recall seeing them in there.

I'm pretty sure not everything they are doing was in apf 2k8, you guys need to read the Press Row Podcast living worlds cliff notes I made. The way the crowds and sidelines react in certain ways to big pass plays and stuff, I don't believe was in APF.

Sage you know me, you know I'm not suggesting that the suits are sitting in meetings suggesting these things....Yes, I know the things that are wrong, and yes, I agree that to you and me, they seem simple.

My thought is those things are the result of the opportunity cost of the teams having to focus on other things that they wouldn't have to if we were indeed focused on getting a true game of football.

For my job I have sit in on enough meetings with higher ups (who have never been exposed to what they are making the decisions for) who sit around because they have nothing better to do and come up with all these "great ideas" that when implemented cause nothing but problems.

It really is not that far fetched to believe.

I'm not saying that it's just a copy of the way APF 2k8 did it, Madden 25 appears to do it better with more detail and realism, but I'm saying this type of thing has been possible to put in their games and they aren't doing it until now. This is honestly something I've really been wanting and it excites me to see that Madden is finally doing it.

Yep, EA Sports failed in Next Gen. I guess we can all agree.

This could not be a more disappointing release. What a train wreck. Everything that they were touting and teasing over the summer is the most minimal, barebones, HACK version of itself.

I'm excited and looking forward to playing. Some of things they added will help me enjoy the game even more. Can't wait to feel how the the pocket will be formed and finally get a pass rush at the same time.

I'm not going to lie, it's an improvement towards the right direction and it is good they are finally implementing sideline interaction. The only thing bothering me about all this is, this sideline stuff was done almost 7 years ago and was done even better with older console technology??? hmm.. What took them so long?? And who really knows if this sideline living world stuff is cut-scenes?? Is it live in game? If this is cut-scenes, how bad will EA sports look??

I disagree, but even if that was the case for this year, that certainly does not mean Madden failed in next gen. This one year is not going to speak for the entire generation.

It's not cutscenes and the game that did it before never had NFL teams players and stadiums to model. I'm sure Madden could have interactive sidelines too if they didn't render all 32 teams stadiums.

Next gen seems like a pretty good upgrade. It's far from perfect, but there's enough there to make it fun. I think I'll be picking it up for the PS4.

Here's hoping this team makes great strides with the new hardware and blows us away with Madden 15.

One thing Madden does right is stadiums. Man they look good.
