Just because EA has the ESPN license doesn't mean they will be kings of presentation. In fact, they have underachieved in this regard for years, with the exception of FIFA.

I hope they prove me wrong though.

Agreed. I've been to MSG and when it's crowded, you'll definitely notice it and that's something the game doesn't show (too well) right now.

Really? you want a more crowded arena .... Their playing Cleveland and the guy you quoted said the crowds look dull? It wasn't the playoffs or a key game of the season

I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion but honestly I don't even know why some of ya'll are here. To say that trailer looks "unrealistic" is just ridiculous. How can you make such a bold statement after seeing a 51 sec trailer? If I disliked a game so bad or had that much of a lack of confidence in EA I wouldn't even be in a forum checking up on the game. I just don't get it. Its simple, if you don't trust your cheating ex wife....then divorce her, but don't be with her and not forgive her or ridicule her for past mistakes. Same applies to this situation.

Best looking sports game ever made. Textures are fantastic, the basketball looks like a basketball. Super pumped for next-gen. As a note, I have played every 2K basketball game ever made, but the only game I actually had "fun" with was LIVE 10. Great to see EA on the comeback trail with this franchise. If we're keeping score, LIVE 14 next-gen wins easily vs. 2K current-gen. Great to see competition back in a sports videogame. Waiting for 2K's counterpunch.

Wack trailer. Don't understand why marketers think gameplay trailers like this will get people excited. We want to see real gameplay.

Marketers understand the hardcore community (OS) is not the majority. The team will get to that eventually, but every company does hype videos to start off their campaign. They show a couple of trailers and then go more in depth with blogs and demos...when has it ever been the other way? (Rockstar, Ubisoft etc)

I understand people want to see more, but we have to be patient. Again, it is important to remember that a lot of next-gen games have been lacking on the media front...It just isn't NBA Live. I think I have seen the same 12 minute demo of Watch Dogs for the past year.

The only thing i can say about this trailer is that the players still have that weird glow about them. Like their skin is made of plastic.

I'll reserve judgement until i see actual unedited gameplay. I'm wishing they do well but i'm not getting my hopes up. I didn't like live 10 at all, mostly because of the unnatural player movements. And of course they haven't released a game since.

That's something people NEED to understand also is that you HAVE to have that FUN factor in sports games

All get paid millions to play a sports BUT they also have FUN playing their sports

People always say they want "Sim/Realistic" gameplay (I do aswell) but when somebody does some something in the game they are quick to call that person a cheeser, Not a sim player, etc etc.........

Their is nothing somebody can do in a video game that can't happen in real-life


Also of course Live14(Next-Gen) is better than 2K14(Current Gen) because well what did you expect lmao

The comments of being the best looking sports game ever and everyone gaga over a 50 second trailer doesn't make sense. A 2k current gen pic and trailer come out and everyone dissing it doesn't make sense either. This is a video game people can look at when they want and comment as well. A lot of people been burned by EA using the same marketing practices. Wait for the actual gameplay to make assumptions

I hate when these coming release trailers like this we the cam is like 2 feet from the guy. No on plays like that. I don't care if they splice together 10 replays. Just release it in a trailer from a broadcast angle so people can actual see how it looks when they will play it. EA should be in transparent mode, I expect starting second week of oct after the current gen other game releases, there will be full live 5 on 5 gameplay. If not, then i will start to be skeptical. But until I expect nothing but these kinds trailers and dev diaries some flashes on zoom in cam gameplay. I do have a sneaky suspicion that there will not be a next gen demo.

Let me say it this way....

NBA 2K's presentation is second to none. Has been for most of this generation. Just because Live has access to the ESPN license doesn't catapult them to the top.

They have set the bar very high, without a network license.

Live could do it even better, and I hope that they do.
