With all the other Bulls trademarks in the game, I doubt they'd randomly choose to be stingy with a color (Why wouldn't they want their team represented properly?). But a color trademark -assuming the Bulls even have one - would only prevent another team from using it, I believe.
The red looks fine to me, though. I never understood the complaints about it every year.
(the 76ers court in 2K13 looks navy blue though)Comment

Colors can be copyrighted, but the only example I can think of off hand is "maize", which was copyrighted by Nike. As such, when adidas became the official brand of the University of Michigan, they had to create their own yellow, dubbed "Sun", to use for Michigan uniforms from there on out.Comment

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment
