I see they still have empty seats in inclement weather, even at the SB!!!???

    Ok then...

*edit* I see cthurt beat me to it, lol...

Of course, this would be a poorly rated SB anyway, ha!

If it wasn't for the intro, I would have thought this was an exhibition game. Half the stadium is empty, there were no camera flashes and the announcers sound half asleep (as they usually do). Where are the all the advertisements and long commercial breaks?

I figured this was the case but still, what a joke.

Is it bad I was announcing the game myself the whole time? But back on topic, it looks good, presentation is the best in years (but will give YT Commentators a pain to edit). Can't wait for the game on Tuesday.

I would much rather hear some generic stuff that at least relates to a game I played last week over something like that. I still remember hearing about Matt Cassel's trade from the Patriots like six seasons into my franchise.

And I agree with the highlights vs. actual film. It's a tough combo that really doesn't work well. Kind of like when they tried to splice game footage in with the awesome M08 intro. It was horrible. I still have a soft spot for last gen's intros with the players warming up and showcasing a player from each team for a matchup or sometimes a QB-WR duo. Expanding upon that I think could have been awesome for your average Sunday games.
Exactly. I cringe every time Simms mentions how well Belichick and Brady work together and how great a coach he is. And he's not even in the game.

As for the split screen showing QB match ups, RB comparisons, or even CB/WR Matchups. Throw in some stat banners and it immerses you into the franchise.

One thing NCAA does which I wish Madden would add is all the stats in the team selection window. Like team leaders, historical stats, etc.

As a Texans' fan and Houston fan all around, it was awesome to see a clip of the old Oilers in the Texans' intro, BUT not sure Bud Adams will be thrilled. LOL!!!

Did the guy press A to advance or something because, because though the intros were good, I didn't like how it went from the intros and overhead view of the stadium then immediately to the coin toss! it just seemed rushed like they wanted to hurry up and get to the game. Seems like the national anthem or something presentation wise should have happened before the coin toss.

Commentary talked about the crowd as if it were a home game for Texas. Altogether, nothing special about superbowl presentation.

Having the stadium half empty for the SUPER BOWL is reason enough not to buy the game. I do not understand why EA feels the need to empty half the stadium when it rains or snows. It takes a lot of the fun and realism out of the game. Its one this if your playing in Jacksonville, but it even happens in Seattle where its sold out every game rain or shine. COME ON EA!!!

It's the exact reason I restart games as soon as I see rain or snow. It's not only that the stadium is half empty, it makes the game look awful and ugly.
