PES 2014 Features Argentinian Football Association, Announcers Closs & Niembro Added

Argentina's Most Popular Teams and Announcers to be Featured
    In the Famed Soccer Series

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced an agreement with the Argentinian Football Association (AFA) to bring 20 AFA Primera División Teams (and some of the corresponding home stadiums) into Pro Evolution Soccer 2014. KONAMI has also enlisted the talents of national football announcers and FOX Sports commentators, Mariano Closs and Fernando Niembro, to call the action in each game. Some of the premier teams that will be included are River Plate, Boca Juniors and Newell's Old Boys and Racing.

"The Pro Evolution Soccer series has always been all about creating authentic football experiences. And with great game development comes great partners." said Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "By working with the Argentinian Football Association, we will be able to give fans around the world the chance to play with some of the best and most competitive football teams."

The Pro Evolution Soccer series holds a wide range of soccer licenses from around the world, including Europe's premier club competition, the UEFA Champions League, and the AFC Champions League. Since its inception, the series has enjoyed acclaim worldwide, and the addition of highly-regarded AFA Primera División Teams will help extend its range to further resonate with football fans around the world.

This new agreement with the AFA brings the following 20 Primera División Teams and many of the home stadiums to Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 at launch.

The 20 Primera División teams included in PES 2014 include:
    • All Boys
    • Argentinos Juniors
    • Arsenal
    • Atlético de Rafaela
    • Belgrano
    • Boca Juniors
    • Colón
    • Estudiantes
    • Gimnasia y Esgrima
    • Godoy Cruz
    • Lanús
    • Newell's Old Boys
    • Olimpo
    • Quilmes
    • Racing
    • River Plate
    • Rosario Central
    • San Lorenzo
    • Tigre
    • Vélez Sarsfield

Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 marks a new beginning for the popular series, with its new FOX Engine allowing for the most comprehensive advance in the PES franchise since its inception. For years, the PES Productions Team has looked at how matches ebb and flow to develop a new approach to football. As a result, PES 2014 will use Kojima Production's renowned FOX Engine at its core. Six central improvements (M.A.S.S., TrueBall Tech, Heart, PES ID, Team Play and Core) combine to establish PES 2014 as a new benchmark in football simulations. They govern everything from the way the player receives and controls the ball, the physicality of play, and the 'feel' of match-day: the rush of euphoria or crushing lows that experiencing an important game can bring.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 will be available in North America, Central America and South America on PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360®, beginning September 24, 2013. PES 2014 for Windows PC will be available later in the year, as well.

Don't care for the Argentinean League, but the new announcers sound interesting.

Seems smart since the one huge advantage of FIFA is licensing.

The more leagues the better. I hope PES can someday get CONCACAF Champions League. MLS and Liga MX deserve better than the lack of support they got on FIFA.

A good get for PES, but I still can't resist the team options I get in FIFA.

            NIEMBRO??????

that's it, not buying this game!

Over half of latin america hates this guy. Totally subjective commentator, everything is about Boca Juniors (the only team that matters on his vision).
I wonder if his comments on the game would include how the result of the game being played affects Boca Juniors' chances to win anything

As much as I don't like Niembro as most of Latin America I won't stop getting PES because of him. Despite that he's annoying, to bias and thinks he's bigger than he really is; anyone who's watched the Copa Libertadores finals could witness his hate on Brazil and its teams, he can't accept them having the better teams even though they've won the last four cups. Still, I'm glad that the league is in PES, trying to attract more Latin American gamers to the game and bringing more options in Become a Legend and Master League.

I love that they're adding leagues, but I wish they'd add more European ones as well.

It seems that inevitable. I just want it now.

Unfortunately FIFA has a strong lock on most of the European leagues.

Very good, Argentian league isn't bad. Excellent for PES.

This is fantastic, not to mention the rumor that they also added the Chilean league. Get a good firm grip in South America as much as possible. Can't wait for the next game!

didn't want to start a new thread, but according to one of the PES guys on twitter (Adam Bhatti), we now will have 3 fake top division leagues with 20 teams each and 1 2nd division fake league with 18 teams. The news just keeps getting better with this year's game.

MLS/Liga Mx/ Bundesliga option file would be great.
