Are there salary caps and real contracts?
Yes!
Does Connected Careers have a salary cap?
Yes, Connected Careers has a fully functional salary cap that increases every year.
Doesn't explicit say the CBA/Rookie Scale at all, you believe it is there? I sure hope it is.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Connected Careers Mode Preview
Some form of rookie scale makes sense, real contracts don't really though. They're a lot more complex than something that fits in a headline.
There's even some crazy stuff w/ the rookie deals, which is why the top 8 picks are currently unsigned.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Connected Careers Mode Preview
So...they removed the ability for my friend and I to play on the same team? We have literally played out 20 seasons over the last 3 Maddens. Someone earlier posted a new stuff feature list. Let's post a removed stuff list:
* Removed ability for offline co-op play
* Removed ability for player to control all aspects of GM position (hiring and firing coaches)
* Removed ability to control more than one team
* Removed ability to import draft classes from NCAA
* Removed ability to edit names, equipment and ratings for players
* Removed offline franchise mode so none of the above things would still work (even though they could have left it in with no changes)
* Removed fantasy draft
Wow. That is pathetic.Professional Website Design - Sharp Guys Web Design

Re: Madden NFL 13 Connected Careers Mode Preview
quick question on practice, can you play this mode as many times as you want or is there a limit to how many drills you can do every week?Comment

I read some Q&A's, read random pages on this thread...
Salary Cap is in CCM and does increase each year, that is good and all, but I wanted to know does it utilize the 'new' Rookie Pay Scale, or will top drafted players still suck up loads of cap space?
EDIT: I can't watch video, no sound- in case it was answered in a video

Re: Madden NFL 13 Connected Careers Mode Preview
How are trades approved or disapproved? For example, if two cpu teams propose a trade, the commissioner can veto the trade right? What about any other trade proposals? These can be approved/disapproved, correct?Comment

Re: Madden NFL 13 Connected Careers Mode Preview
Do all players go through the simulated practice. Do we set up a practice schedule? What criteria is used to determine how much better they get and better in what areas? So far I'm seeing XP points that I dole out. Even if you can tell the computer to automate progressing/regressing abilities, what calculation is used by the CPU to gather XP points and turn that into progression/regression? And how as a coach do I effect that in a realistic/real world manner? I can't hire assistant and positional coaches that would effect how quickly players learn. I don't set up practice schedules to determine what the team should emphasize. The only control I have is some unrealistic gaining and doling out of XP points.
Again, I can see why people would like this and have fun with it. My beef is that it is FAR from realistic. Progression, scouting, should have had incredible depth by now with options to turn things on/off or select different ways to calculate progression.
I'm not at all upset that an arcady progression system is in Madden, I'm just upset that it is the only progression system to choose. I want something much more realistic. So I'm not bashing you guys for liking it. Just please don't tell me that it's realistic.
Oh, and this isn't directed at you. I realize you were just trying to give more info.Comment
