Re: MLB 12 The Show Video - Developer Walkthrough (PS Vita)

For me, I wouldn't be buying the Vita on release day or maybe a few months after its release. Mainly because I'm in no position to spend $300+ on the system and game just to play it maybe on the bus or during an off period like studyhall. However, once information regarding the Vita is released buy Madden or NBA 2K I might consider it. If I can do the same thing as The Show (Play same file on Vita and PS3) with other games that would make me buy this system.

Basically what I'm saying is, in February I will not be buying the Vita and The Show (Of Course I'm buying it for PS3) but in September/October when the information for Madden and NBA 2K regarding Vita is released, I might be buying it then.

The good news is, now that they've actually built the Vita version, it's not going to take up as much time as every other year. That problem is out of the way. For every year on out, the development process should be as normal (remember that they've always been riding with a PS2 game and a PSP game every year before this as well).

also it seems like the only sacrifice from the PS3 version that they had to spend less time on was graphics. They improved the lighting and models this year for the PS3, but they said they wanted to get the engine for the Vita up and running this year to look as close as the PS3 version first and foremost.

so like you said, next season they will just have to worry about porting features and upping the graphics alittle bit for the Vita version.

I'm not sure anything much was done to lighting this year.... from what Russell said.

I really don't understand the priority on it tbh but I understand the need to sell Vita I guess just not with wasted priorities from the main PS3 team as there is already too much that needs to change in the Big version.
why buy a tablet when you could just get a laptop?

I understand not wanting to pay for it, especially since its basically right after Christmas. As soon as preorders started, I starting using trade-in credits towards Vita. It's almost paid for, I'll just need to buy games/accessories.

Like blzer I also travel alot and got tired of total hassle of hauling a PS3 around. The psp version was nearly unplayable compared to the ps3 version. In addition, having a 52 inch tv means nothing when the wife and kids would rather watch DWTS. So the vita (hopefully)will be a total replacement of the ps3.
