You didn't hear? Congress signed a new law making the numbers 1 - 3 illegal. Every count must start at 4 now.

They are the only company that's made a basketball game the past few years....get a grip 2k is getting lazy because there is no competition...and really there isn't any excuse to be this lazy.

WOW I thought this was the adult forum, what has happen to Operation Sports, why don't most of you wait to play the game post patch before overrating.

Yeah, I'm not saying that 2k doesn't release multiple patches for a single game. I'm saying that they typically don't release anymore after designated major patches. We're already three patches deep on 2K12, so I'm not expecting anymore patches after this one. Of course, I would welcome it if 2K wanted to prove otherwise.

The patch does have some good thing in it but the two biggest that this forum has seen mentioned, fastbreak defense (in general) and the headfakes/post moves by EVERYONE haven't been touched. A little concerning, that.

Granted I think the up and under thing seems to be a tendency issue everyone has a high post move up and under tendency and that kicks in when they're in the lane. Its whatever though I'm still enjoying the game it just annoys me the CPU plays the Spurs 02 finals fastbreak defense against the Nets against me all the time even on pro. I really have to make my decision on the break extremely early and in some cases not make the ideal play. Again, its whatever though won't stop me from enjoying NBA 2k.

Re: NBA 2K12 Patch 1.04 Details, Arrives Tomorrow

Maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised, but this doesn't look good at all. Not only did 2K11 play better overall out of the box and after the final patch, it got a better patch in half the time. I'm strongly suspecting a good portion of the team was working on the DLC instead of patching the game, hence the long wait and the pithy amount of fixes. It does seem really strange to me that the discussion Da_Czar started that dealt in depth with passing and hit heavily on fast break issues only resulted in a tweak to lob passes. I hope there's more than what's listed changed under the hood. Have any past fixes been left off the patch list before?

Anyway, it feels like 2K decided to gamble a lot of its good will from 2K11 to provide a questionable DLC to increase cash flow because of the lock out. It seems to me that they would have been better off focusing on delivering polish this year and set up a loyal customer base next year when EA returns. Before I wanted EA's Live to just die in a fire. Now I'm seeing that Live's existence is necessary to keep 2K on its toes. I believe 2K will still push themselves in terms of delivering gameplay enhancements even with no competition. It's in their DNA. But without a competitor, they are probably less motivated to make sure the overall package is tight, polisthed, and mostly bug and frustration free, and more prone to make player-unfriendly decisions.
