I know nothing can be done about the 94 rating Kobe has. but honestly he was dunking really good last year. why does he have to have a default dunk package in a year where they have sig dunks perfect.

I know I for one will definately be making my own roster ratings to go along with all the correct rosters.

They couldn't include the 2011 rookie draft class because of the lockout, Rubio signed his contract before the lockout.

Re: Players' ratings are...off???

The two best players are on the Heat, that's pretty funny.

As usual 2K has stupid ratings that take away from the realism of the game. Jeff Teague a 63 and Rose a 92. Teague is not in Rose league but if you watched that series you know it is not a 30 point gap between the 2, Teague is atleast a 70. For as much as I love 2K Basketball they can not watch basketball with some of this stupid ish, and don't give me that stupid mess about you have to play to a players strenght, a 63 player can be just as effective as a 75 player if you know what you are doing. That is just a cop out to never higher someone that could provide accurate ratings

Re: NBA 2K12 Player Ratings Revealed, Including All Free Agents

How's it going OS? Long time.

Anyway, I agree with some that the overalls are off for some, but I also agree with those that say the ratings of the individual attributes are more important than overall. Players having the skills and abilities of their real life counterparts is most important when all is said and done. A guy having an overall that is "too low" or "too high" is a essentially a moot point if his skills/attributes are off (one way or the other). Still, with the overall ratings, I look at it like this (keeping the old 50-99 scale in mind because sometimes I think the change is forgotten):

2k10 to Present (2k-2k9)
99-85 (99-90) Superstars/Allstars
84-70 (89-80) Allstars/Starters
69-55 (79-70) Starters/2nd unit
54-40 (69-60) Role players/Bench warmers
39-25 (59-50) Bench warmers

There are bound to be exceptions, but in general, I think most players are at least in the right category (when using this or similar criteria), even if the number that puts them there is questionable/debatable.

Re: NBA 2K12 Player Ratings Revealed, Including All Free Agents

Ratings seem great, very few hiccups. I have a few issues with my Miami Heat's ratings.

No way Haslem is a 68, he's a 72-73. Knock-down mid-range shooter, plays defense with the best of them, and shows a lot of hustle and grit.

Mike Miller at 65 is a joke, he's a great shooter and if he had his thumbs we might have won it all. When healthy he's one of the best in the league at shooting the long ball, and he's a very good play-maker as well. 70-71 overall would be right.

Mario Chalmers should be around a 73-74, he showed that with his Finals performance. Showed fantastic defense, ability to make plays, and hitting the three with ease in huge moments. Consistency might be a problem still, but he's a very good player without a doubt.

Joel Anthony at 55 kind of makes sense, but also infuriates me. He is a decent rebounder, best shot-blocker in the league on a per-48 minutes. Shows a lot of hustle and grit, and he's made huge leaps and strides when it comes to catching the ball and finishing...he might still not do it very well but trust me, he's gotten a lot better, lol.

Chris Bosh at 80 is the worst one of all. Danny Granger, Caron Butler, and Al Jefferson are 81's but Bosh, an all-star just about every year and a top 15-20 player, is rated an 80? Should be 85-87 by that measure. And yes, by this standard I think Dirk should be higher as well, probably an 88-89.

Others bug me too...Stephen Curry rated lower than Monta Ellis is just foolishness and Curry is a great floor general when allowed to be, and Ellis has no defense while Curry plays decently on that side of the court.

Derrick Rose should be an 88-89, not a 92 like Durant until Rose can play team defense and one-on-one defense, and until he can shoot the ball with consistency as well.

The rest might be just slightly off, but those are just the ones that bug me the most. What I do like is:

LeBron is finally rated higher than every other single current NBA player. About time he gets his due, he's the best basketball player in the world right now and should be recognized as such, while Wade is a close second.

Westbrook maintained his 88 rating even after a somewhat questionable conference finals. The guy still has incredible talent and athleticism and should be rated as such.

Boozer finally goes down to below 80. He's just not that talented of a ball player honestly, never has been and never will be. I love his intensity though, and his team-first mindset. Not a ***** at all, lol.

Dallas players other than Dirk not getting a boost in ratings just because they played extremely well for one series. Only ratings I disagree with there are Chandler should be a 77-78 not a 70, while Butler should be a 77-78 as well, not an 81. No way is he better than or as good as Chris Bosh, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, etc.

Rubio at 67. It's a fair rating until we see what he can do at the NBA level. I for one think he'll do great but he has yet to prove anything. Great decision by the Insider.

Well, that's about it. Kudos to you if you made it until the end of my post, lol.
