I agree that one of the weaknesses of the video that it exposes the lack of explosion in crowd noise. I don't think it is a big deal. There is no baseball game on the market that does a decent job with crowd noise, and 2K1o, and from the rest of the video, 2K11 does a great job overall.

NHL 11 really gets that explosion of crowd noise right. NCAA 11 and NBA 2K11 do a pretty good job, while Madden is horrible. So really, nailing the video for this is just kind of nitpicky.

But really, this just illustrates what a poor job Ronnie did in recording and selecting a video that showed the game in a good light.

If this were just a mid-season game, and showed off a few middle innings of play, we would have gotten a better look at the game and spent less time nitpicking a bunch of stuff that will likely not affect out enjoyment. But when we have 10 minutes to critique, you just have to be more deliberate in what you release.

In no way did the video make me think the game will not be a blast to play. But I'd be a fool not to think it didn't undo a ton of good vibe that had been generated so far, and probably lost some sales.

Rmember them (2k) saying the exact same thing in one of their blogs? That the players in 10 really had a zombie expression but they made a huge facial upgrade for 11....uh right.

I still dont like the throwing animations from the outfield to the infield. The outfielders gun the ball to the cut off guy. One of the things that really bothered me in 2k10

With some of the new things I liked (loved the re-inclusion of some real-time elements), the one AI managerial decision I had a problem with was how they put in a new pitcher before intentionally walking the #8 hitter, as opposed to after. The difference between ball-on-grass and ball-on-dirt physics is a very welcoming addition too.

There were a lot of 2K10 moments that I noticed which weren't pretty though, and some of their new presentation changes were a bit questionable. As top-notch as the commentary was, where was John Kruk? He had like four lines in the whole ten minutes. And obviously it was a pretty low difficulty, so I'm not going to hark on the number of hits but that wasn't the best way to show a gameplay video IMO haha.

The slow-motion home run thing was just weird and I didn't like that the opposite field blasts are still in there, but Seth Smith is just that scary it might actually be realistic.

Same when they tied it. Thorne's reactions seem to be very bland as well. It really looked the same as 2K10 to be honest. Another oppo shot, hearing the same lines, kinda just a bland feel to it.

But if they finally get pitching right it should be fun. I just don't really expect much from these guys just like I don't in football games anymore.

It looks very good in all but I still think that the gloves should be fixed if there is a possible way to do it, cause to me or anyone else who agrees they do need some improvment.

Agreed. The gloves have been crap for years and have never been good. Maybe it's a frame rate thing?
