    FIFA Soccer 11 Patch 1.01 Available For PC, Mid-November For PS3, 360

DOWNLOAD FIFA 11 PATCH 1.01: CLICK HERE

The download brings a number of enhancements for the game, and will improve the following:
    • The end-match crash in Manager Mode and Exhibition Match.
    • The Manager Mode crash when using Peterborough Club.
    • Teams in Manager Mode that were appearing in the incorrect leagues. Note: This will not work for Manager Mode saves that you have in progress, only new ones that you start after installing the patch.
    • The Manager Mode in-game scoreboard location when in widescreen mode and using a league other than England.
    • The Manager Mode in-game scoreboard location when Olympique Lyonnais are used.
    • The weather pattern randomizer in Manager Mode.
    • Two users playing on the same team if you enter the online mode with the mouse.
    • Online Head to Head matches where the in-game scoreboard location was sometimes too low on the screen.
    • Users being able to control the opponent CPU with a second controller after backing out of a Ranked Online match.
    • Users who did not receive a DNF% on the Head to Head Leaderboards when pressing ALT + F4.
    • Highlight replays video stuttering.
    • NIS (Non-Interactive Sequence) stuttering.
    • Improvement for keyboard users who were not able to access the in-game Controller Settings.
    • A work around for video stuttering on ATI video cards (until a new driver is released).
    • Correction to Lincoln City kit sponsors.
    • Correction to Zenit St. Petersburg third kit.
    • Correction to Montpellier kit sponsors.

360, PS3 coming mid-November. And it is comprehensive..

What a complete embarrassment by EA.

They released a completely broken game, in which each of the major game modes is riddled with bugs that are so debilitating that many won't even play the game until they are fixed.

Now they proudly announce that they might FINALLY fix some things at some point in time roughly ~2 months after release.

The indifference they showed towards consumers and the community, coupled with the rampant censoring, deleting and locking of threads, and overall atrocious behavior they exhibited in their own forums is just shocking.

Completely unacceptable, I will never purchase an EA product again.

If there is one thing i hope they fix its the lob through balls.

Incredibly difficult to pull off in real life with great accuracy but in the game its complete bs.

How can any defender from behind the halfway line with a full power no direction lob through ball perfectly land at my strikers feet near the edge of the box with no defensive resistance. How did they not see this when playing games?

The accuracy on the lobs are insane and it seems like the player you are passing to is sort of magnetised to the ball thus making it extremely hard to stop with a defender. I feel it is the biggest game play exploit and completely ruins the game. They involve absolutely no skill to pull off.

why make a short pass to a player 10 meters away when lobbing a through ball 60m is more accurate?

I'll be extremely disappointed if this isn't fixed because how could such a blatantly obvious exploit go unnoticed?

It's weird because this wasn't in previous iterations. I guess all there is to do is wait.

        1. This patch is for the PC version, which is almost identical to FIFA 10 for 360/PS3. The console patch will be different.

        2. Things take time to find and fix, it's not like they have some magic wand that fixes all the bugs in the game instantly.

          How naive can you be?

How about EA's decision to knowingly release a broken product?

Sure, things take time to fix. But why do they need to be fixed in the first place? And why does it take 1/6 of the games lifespan to possibly allow consumers to use a functioning version of the product? Other games release patches in anywhere from a few days to a week or so. EA consistently lies about the patch and certification process and in turn takes a completely unreasonable amount of time to do what they should be able to do rather quickly.

Please, if attempting to blindly defend EA, do so reasonably. Offer accurate and reasonable arguments.

Also, I'd like to comment on the shameful and fraudulent nature of game critics and reviewers (OS included). Aren't critics supposed to offer objective and accurate reviews of a game? Why instead do they provide intellectually dishonest advertisements for the companies they have relationships with?

OS, IGN, etc have acted shamefully in their coverage of Fifa 11. Not one of these "game critics" touch upon the fact that each of the game modes advertised in the game are completely broken. How about the fact that none of the "new features" work as advertised. How about the fact that EA REMOVED several features from Fifa 10?

          Shameful stuff.

WORD it is like politics. EA thinks we are stupid and just believe what they say in regards to the patch certification process taking a while. the wait would be less annoying if the game worked worth a **** as it is now. this is a CLEAR sign that these ****ers only want our money. they hype up the game like its got big shiny balls and so we buy it. but then we realize it doesn't work and it would be okay if the fix came a couple weeks ago..but we still have a couple weeks to wait. UNBELIEVABLE...yet i can believe it. no disrespect lol. and for the idiot who retorts, the game shouldn't have been released in this state. so don't say "who are you to say how long a fix should take" i have no ****ing idea but stop with the releasing broken game without a note on the cover that says "currently broken" or no list of new features such as frequent game freezing.

There are always the same people every single year who complain about EA only wanting their money and who say the game is broken, every single year. Yet, like you, they continue to buy the product. If anything, they've got you right where they want you because apparently your memory fades every 365 days.

If they releasee an awful product each year that is "broken" then stop buying it. Period.

Or, buy it, and know it may not be perfect and live with the changes they can make to it. Which is what most of us here do. Which is far more logical behavior than expecting a broken game every year, buying it and then being stunned and outraged.

Who said I purchased the game? How do you know I haven't sent it back to EA for a full refund?

Please, continue to be naive and part of the problem. Diminish legitimate complaints against a company that defrauds its consumer base.

Pretend like you are trying to be objective.

Naive? Hardly. I have many complaints about the game, but I don't take it to the level of accusing a company of defrauding it's consumer base.

Please, educate me and everyone else and explain to us how you'd have a legal case for EA committing fraud with their release of FIFA 11.

Physically, not yet. I have contacted EA, expressed my complaints, and began the refund process. Being EA, this will take an unreasonably long time to complete the return. Check back with me later, though, and I will be happy to provide screenshots or other evidence.

False advertising. The game as a whole and the new features that don't work. Not to mention they have been caught in documented lies when posting "updates" about fixing the game on their own message boards.

To clarify, I should not argue for litigation against EA for fraud. It is unlikely and not realistic and/or viable.

However, on principle, I stand by my claim that EA's communication, advertising, and overall strategy is wildly dishonest and contains aspects that can certainly be called fraudulent.

Lol wow. Come on this is a video "GAME". When has EA Sports ever delviered on what they advertise. There will be mistakes and glitches. Anybody who has bought a video game in oooohhhh the last twenty years knows this. I buy video games to just have fun. If you really want the real expeirence how about you put down the controller and go outside and play the sport. By now you should know what you are getting with ea sports. It is what it is. I don't feel the game is broken since I'm not having any freezing problems. Hopefully the patch fixes some major stuff like player growth (and decline) and the tackling.

I'm still having fun with career mode as a manager and this game has pretty great gameplay, especially using full manual controls. The tackling is an issue but on world class or higher, it's not all that bad (unless you pressure unrealistically).

Now, if I was getting freezing or stuttering issues like some people, I'd be mad.
