pretty sure that is the very exact opposite of what they'd want
Aye that's the last thing the madden team wants for sure.

I'd have to disagree. It is a matter of personal opinion, but with every other major next gen sports game you don't have people looking back to last gen fondly wishing those games would get back just to where they were then. The Show is often viewed as the best baseball game to date. NBA2K is looked at similarly in terms of basketball. EA's NHL series the same. Both FIFA and PES are way beyond their last gen counterparts if what I read is correct. Fight Night. Etc. The main title lagging behind are the Tiburon football titles, pure and simple.

Even titles that disappointed early on like MLB2K and NBA Live introduced innovative features and had returned to respectability (MLB with it's right stick pitching, realtime presentation which The Show picked up on doing, revolutionary commentary/presentation, NBA Live with it's Synergy work, movement/control). Madden/NCAA have done nothing that can be looked at as innovative this generation. Pro-Tak isn't even up to what was done in 2K5 & APF, let alone Backbreaker. Commentary - not even worth mentioning. Six years in and we still don't know if they'll be able to come close to matching what was done in 2K5 in terms of presentation. Just so many holes and places where the game has been a letdown. Again, I think M11 is looking like a respectable game - but it depends on where the individual's expectations are. Because it's ridiculous it's still lagging behind older, more disadvantaged football games in key areas.

I agree for the most part, though MLB 2k is nowhere near where it should be regardless of any pitching mechanisms. Its 100% worse off than Madden at this point, I can assure you of that. I will draw comparisons though, MLB 2k's next gen run and Maddens next gen run have been similar. Mired in broken features, false hope by developers, an ever changing direction in gameplay. I do believe Madden is better. At the same time though, 2k switched developers, producers and there has just been a lot of turmoil with the behind the scenes and Madden didn't have the same amount.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Video: Tim Tebow Highlights (OS @ E3)

Wow!! lol

And that was against the Vikings!!! Imagine what Tebow would do against my Raiders!! That's why I'm not buying the game. I know I'd never beat the Broncos as long as Tebow was playing.

All joking aside, I know that things have gotten bad cause I'm seeing people who are usually optimistic about Madden say they are not getting the game. Now whether they do or don't is not the point. The fact that they would even say it shows how far Madden has fallen from grace. I really don't know what to say. These past few weeks have a surreal feel to them in regards to Madden. It's just very hard for me to believe that they would tell us they skipped on franchise this year to put out what we just saw ............... and keep a straight face. If punk'd still came on, I would think that the show is in cahoots with the dev team to pull the biggest prank ever in history. This is really unbelievable at this point.

When I made my mind up that this was gonna be the first year ever that I wasn't gonna buy Madden, I thought it was gonna be a hard thing to do. I was telling my self that I'm gonna have to stick to my plan and not cave in. Well EA is making it a lot easier to pass on this years Madden. It seems like every announcement that's made, every vid that's shown, and every article that's written about Madden, pushes me farther and farther away from purchasing the game. I seriously thought that I wasn't gonna be able to do it, but after seeing these vids and after me and my boys played the NCAA demo to 4AM, I'm pretty confident in my plan to just stick with NCAA this year.

I don't know but this year I am very underwhelmed by what I am seeing. I remember last year I was more excited when I saw the videos. This year ....not so much. Looks much like an arcade game to me and all the broken tackles is ridiculous. NCAA 11 on the other hand is looking good and the demo even plays pretty solid. I guess we have to wait for the Madden demo.

I can't be the only one who sees this..

Yes you are the only one. Put a time stamp on when this happens. At 1:12 he is engaged but his feet are still moving and so is he so I hope that is not what you are talking about but I would like to see what you are talking about.
