The review reads like he was gonna give it a high score regardless of what he himself feels. That means he gave a score to be appreciated and accepted by you guys. He goes on to describe how he feels about THE SHOW FRANCHISE and not this years edition. He fails to mention alot of other bugs that are not being mentioned in a patch, He fails to mention the presentation is still far behind what 2k is offering.
Its the same game as last years...WE have KILLED MADDEN for years about being the same. Dont sugar coat MLB with the line of "if it aint broke...." MLB09 had glitches too. The game has the same scene cutaways, you never see a batter's follow thru, just the hit. Some of the logic in the franchise is off. Stars are traded too often. This realism you guys speak of, um? have you been playing 2k10? I don't play RTTS, I play multiplayer and franchise. It really is the same game from last year, so what I can warm up my bullpen, Im not gonna pitch strikes anyway...lol.
If I wanted updated rosters, I could've done them myself. In MY opinion, I prefer when developers come back the next year with a BETTER way to do something from last years game. Not just a catchy name useless innovation. i dont see that in this years the show. And you can get a lower score for being the same. If you had a year to get better and you did nothing, but a fresh coat of paint, you want a higher grade than last year when you banged out a stellar title?, last year?, this year you sat and counted money...Many have been saying the same, so this review and its supporters are in the minority. The Show is not the most realistic anything, its a hyped up game, that couldn't keep the hype for more than two years...the glitches and inconsistencies in its gameplay, leave me thinking both companies are in a dead heat. I play both right now, but I'm prefering the energy in the MLB2K10, and that game to me is a 8, so I gave the show a 8. Both games recreate video game baseball, In MLB2k you can Meter Pitch or Analog, the same with Hitting, I think thats a plus. And the ball gets hit all over the field. How long are you just gonna tap a button...I love 2k and its love for making shot sticks, deke sticks, pitching, batting, etc. with the analogs. SCEA does have a good/great game, just not stellar or top notch anymore. Its a dead heat this year.
