        Re: Another video

2K Sports does such a great job with presentation, including this commentary that is truly breaking new ground. Sometimes we think to improve commentary there needs to be more words being said, but 2K showed some creativity here. With NBA and now MLB, they have introduced some dynamics that aren't just more things being said but meaningful things.

Another excellent job in the commentary is the interruption sequences. In that Cubs Franchise video, around the 5:25-5:33 mark Phillips goes to add some starting with, "Wel..if." What happens is the batter hits the bal (not a homerun but a hit) and Thorne calls it. It all happens very naturally.

        Very nicely done.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Is Tuesday yet? I am loving that commentary and the gameplay looks really improved. These videos looks solid and kudos to VC on getting this game back on track.

I really like the player models and the stadiums do truly look immersive when you factor in the lighting too.

commentary is amazing. it looks like 2K has focused on nailing presentation (just like 2k did with nba)

game looks fun too. I love actually being able to see the follow thru when contact is made.. it looks good.

Everything looks cool except the damn catcher reaching across his body catching those pitches that are way outside of the zone and hes reaching over with ease to catch what is obvious a wild pitch. The game is heading in the right direction, but just like NBA 2k to NBA Live, the animations are jarring and their is a disconnect for me. I like good smooth animations and right now I'm not seeing that, they are OK at best to me. I'll eventually come around to picking it up, again this is looking a like a great progression.

I hope not. I know that the developers are touting "dynamic commentary," but how far will it go? In the Braves/Astros video Thorne and Phillips talk about the Braves' great record on the road in 2009. Is the commentary so dynamic that we won't hear that particular fact once the 2010 season is completed?

The commentary does seem ground breaking, but to be honest, it might start to get old after a while. How could they carry new things over from year to year in your franchise? For instance, if I win the AL West in 2010, I highly doubt that they will say, "The Mariners' quest to defend their AL West crown begins today," when I start my new season (2011). It hasn't been recorded so I don't see how it could be carried over... The commentary is truly excellent but after playing 100+ games, I am sure it will get stale and I'll start playing games with the volume down.

In order for commentary to be fresh, carrying over year to year in your franchise, something revolutionary has to happen and I don't think we're there yet.

One issue seems to be that they don't reverse the batter's eye graphic when batting from the BTP cam. So when they're showing a pitch that's supposed to be outside, the graphic shows it coming inside.

Guess they'll have to patch that one in.

minor gripe from the Braves video.

that announcer butchered Jurrjens 1st name. pronounced it "yah ree" haha.. yikes. way off

Reminds me of the MLB Power Pros announcer. He said so many names incorrectly, but it was pretty hilarious considering the kind of game that it was.
