yeah the fielding animations seem a bit arcadey and sped up. Maybe they did that on purpose to give it more of an arcade feel. Other than that I'm impressed. Nice animations and sound. I love the overall look of the game and feel even though i'm not playing it, I get the idea. This is a first day purchase for me.

Wow! 1 copy please! After looking at that gameplay, I feel as if its a whole new game. Looks kinda MVP like which is great. Love the new camera and that I can work the count like MVP. Graphics and animation look on par with the best.Comment

WOW, after the video, came away much disappointed, honestly there new things added to presentation, as far as gameplay goes, seems still like same old 2k to me.
Was rooting for this game to come back strong, from that vid, ouch!N.Y Mets

-Not a big fan of Kruk, but I'll live.
-Loved the CPU walking a player, you could tell it was Oliver Perez pitching by his wildness.
-Lighting is great.
-Looks like the changed Soriano's stance slightly, not a big fan on the change because his hands aren't that close to his body. But this isn't a big deal or anything, just a minor gripe.
Overall, I'm definitely more confident about the game now.
Not digging the hitting view at all. Pitcher looks miles away, and takes out the whole watch the pitch from the hand scenario you do in baseball.
I notice the lack of Phillips, and all I hear is Kruk mostly for the color. Is it me or is the commentary different big time now? Sounds more like The Show now with the three man, than it did last year.
Ironic.Comment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Gameplay Trailer (Mets vs. Cubs)
Everything just looks too fast. I was hoping they toned down on that this year, but it still remains. I am not talking the skipped presentation, the ball flies hard off the bat, and just dies. Animations speed up and slow down, just as it did in 2K hockey last year. Takes the immersion out. The crowd in the distance looks lifeless too. Almost cardboard. All small things that add up for feel to me.Last edited by EnigmaNemesis; 02-18-2010, 09:39 PM.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Gameplay Video (Mets @ Cubs)
teh facial animations are crazy much like NBA 2k10 but nicer imo. Watch it fullscreen and you really see how realistic the players looks and move. It's nice....... I just don't understand why the fielding. throwing and baserunning doesnt really sync with the pitching and batting. It's like the game suddenly speeds up to unrealistic levels.Comment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Gameplay Video (Mets @ Cubs)
the animations are kinda rough, it's like they speed them up and slow them down so abruptly i.e. Soriano getting back to 1st is so fast its crazy, too much flashy arcadey stuff on the screen, takes away from the immersion. It looks ok, I hope you guys like it.Comment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Gameplay Video (Mets @ Cubs)
They did a good job of establishing the grand view of the fields. The lighting looks much better than previous versions. Kruk and Phillips need to interact more. Right now they sound too separated, almost like a "my turn now your turn" feel there. I do like how Phillips stutters once and says, "our" twice. Nice natural touch.
Probably the best part of this video is seeing the CPU hold off on two strikes.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: Mets vs. Cubs *1st Gamplay video Discussion (GameInformer)
Everything looks pretty solid, especially compared to last year. The only problem I have from that video is the numbers on the jerseys. I don't remember them being so big and distracting in 2k9.Fan of....

Well, I must say besides the lighting, which looks VERY good by the way, there seems to be very little added visually. the animations still look a bit, I don't know, kinda odd. And those uniform numbers and name fonts ARE JUST HIDEOUS,along with that batting view which I'm sure will be adjustable. I am pleased to hear new bat sounds and organ music tho. All in all, I have to see some more footage and get a hold of the demo to form a stronger opinion. The Signature of New YorkComment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K10 Gameplay Video (Mets @ Cubs)
Sig Styles look great. I likes that when he missed his gesture against Ollie Perez the pitch was high & out of the zone & not a MEATBALL. The batter's box was already getting roughed-up & the game is only in the 3rd inning.
ksig mentioned the facial animations. Very noticable when Omir Santos was 2 bat. The bat on ball sounds pretty good. The lighting, oh the lighting..
I'm not happy with the way the throwing & fielding animations are playing-out. Hopefully they can do something about this via a PATCH.. maybe slowing down the animations will be a priority next yearLast edited by bigfnjoe96; 02-18-2010, 09:55 PM.Comment

Yep, that is the same feeling I get. There are some things I like, but the animations are not doing it for me this year. I love how the pitching animations are though.Comment
