Yeah i know me either. I also am in line with Pared and don't think that has ever really been in VC rep to do some sort of that.

Re: Major League Baseball 2k10 First Insight

Thanks to 2k for saving me a boatload on a PS3. Everything the article talked about has me very excited. The working scoreboards are a little thing I've wanted for years. The details about the lighting and grass sound incredible. I'm a stickler for minute details in baseball games.

Trying not to get too amped up so I'm not let down later though.

The next time we wont have to wait a few days for MLB to approve of the damned insight. Ron already has 3 more approved. they will all be dropping at the right time.

we got about 10 more insights to read.

I bought a ps3 for the Show, but I also still have an Xbox360. I'm staying with the show, but Visual Concepts looks as if they learned their lesson after last year. Although, I'm wondering about the hat models and that. The hats are pretty weird looking at the brim and stuff, hopefully they fix it, because if I want to talk to my xbox friends but still play a baseball game, I'll rent it with my blockbuster pass on long as it's somewhat good.

I wonder if this is the case. I agree, the outfield looks different. Which brings out an interesting point. In 2K9, and previous versions, there was an awful slowdown that took place when a fly ball would enter the outfield. I wonder if they are rendering less in the out field stands to keep that slowdown from happening.

It's kind of blurry, but if anyone can see does it say target field, because it looks like it says something different, but it's hard to see.

Not only that, but I think that was the excuse for their camera angle last year to go so high up and angle downwards, so they barely get any of the stands in the outfield. I hope we're not stuck with that camera nonsense again.

The stadiums look AWESOME this year. They really went crazy with the details for 2k10. I love the word "obsessed" and I wouldn't expect anything less from VC.

I agree with you on the high camera angles last year, but I don't think that's going to be the case this year. 2k9 in many ways felt rushed. 2k heard many complains about the terrible camera angles last year. I don't think they'll do the same mistake, but who knows. Time will tell.

The high camera angle has been in the game since 2k8. I actually like it a lot when fly balls are hit. I have seen some Major League games that use that same camera angle. I believe 1 of those teams is the Nats

I was thinking about the stats the added. If they add that to the commentary, that would offer a nice amount of depth. They mentioned how Longoria does against Pettite. That would be a great presentation piece to talk about that, or even how one particular player bats in a stadium at night.

It's something that really would be great in other games too. For instance, talking about how Peyton plays in New England etc.

I really hope the sky isn't completely dark at the start of night games. Does anyone know if progressive lighting will be in 2k10?

It would be nice to see the game go from dusk to night and the lights turn on as the game gets darker and the shadows move as the game progresses. Is that asking for too much?
