    A Bright Wrestling Games Future?

The latest WWE games don't have any peers to compare themselves to, but that does not mean they suffer from the pitfalls of competition. WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010's main competition comes from over ten years ago, and it is no secret why it does.

WWF No Mercy is the pinnacle of the wrestling games frenzy of the 1990s and still finds itself in a relevant position today thanks to various mods from a small but rabid fanbase.

Ten years since it's release, how does No Mercy get so much love? The answer is that No Mercy encompassed all of what the (then) WWF had to offer. Matches were exciting, the creation modes were stellar, and it featured a full fledged WWF season and featured any wrestler on the game's roster.

Day of Reckoning for the Gamecube is the best wrestling game I ever played. Great graphics even for the game cube, no hd needed. Easy to perform moves and that includes finishers. The reversal and submittal systems were also nice.

I would like to see Online Leagues or Federations where you could get a set number of friends preferably atleast 32 and run your own Federation fully equipped with championships, weekly events, and pay-per views that are fully customizable, but I am probably asking too much that's why I stick with Day of Reckoning.

Three words: online wrestling leagues, for use with or without create-a-storyline feature.

That, and do a massive code rewrite of the computer opponent AI. Scrap whatever exists there and start over.

"The WWE Story Designer is a great idea that will only improve with future releases. "

Somebody hasn't really been playing the THQ series.

It's a great idea that, in the future, will see about 5 new additions every year in exchange for 20 minor-yet-crucial sacrifices, just like every other create-a-____ feature they've implemented, if you're looking for accuracy.

"There is a reason you can find SvR 2010 for $40 only a few weeks after it was released."

I'd like to know where you found that cause I'm trying to get that for Christmas and my limit is 40 bucks.

Try target, etc. I've seen those games on "clearance" or on special sale for $39.

                $45 but close enough.

I hope the AAA game is good. I doubt there'll be another Rumble Roses and Fire Pro doesn't seem like it's moving to the next gen and obviously Wrestle Kingdom will never make its way here as it hasn't yet.

Almost everything that isn't Modern Warfare 2 or New Super Mario Wii can be found for large discounts this year a few weeks after release if you look hard enough.

In my opinion WCW vs NWO Revenge is the best wrestling game ever made. I also enjoyed WCW vs NWO world tour on Nintendo 64. My buddy massive and I had our own cliques. Mine were Powder keg and Blackheart! Powder keg had to go through all the members of massive's NWO before he got a title shot at NWO's Hulk Hogan. He finally earned his shot and brought home the world championship! Blackjack held the us championship, and they shared the fictional tag team championship. Now that was the good ole days of sports entertainment!

It shows when people don't really know what they talking about. No Mercy is definitely the best American wrestling game, but the Fire Pro Wrestling series has been so much better. It's the best depiction of what wrestling is. Pick up fire pro wrestling returns if you can and it will change the way you look at wrestling games.

Kings of Colosseum is a another good title but in 3D for those who need better graphics to enjoy the experience.
Kid... I'm the Joker. I don't just randomly kill people. I kill people when it's funny. What would be conceivably funny about killing you?

That was the other game I was trying to remember when mentioning the games not coming here. One of those would also be acceptable.

there have been a good deal of "good" wrestling games. I do agree a title change would help and man a new TNA game with that lineup would rock.
                          Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.
