Has NBA Live stolen icon lead passing yet? 2k9 has its control issues but thats one area that still shines compared to the alternative.

Lead passing is not realistic at all in 2k to me. Passing in general has been very poor in 2k.

Exactly my point. No biggie or gamekiller, just a different brand of player control. Lives rise from the ashes is going to be based on that change I think. Right on cue, 2K has taken away control while EA has added to it...and I think ALOT of people are going to jump ship based on that fact.

Very shrewd plan of attack by Beluba and co.

It may not be exactly where you want it. but shaq and other lumbering bigs don't feel like they stop on a dime...in COMPARISON with some other smaller/quicker players. Everyone has their own momentum so maybe it doesn't apply enough for some in certain instances but your not going to feel the same control for shaq like you do cp3... not nearly as responsive.

But I do hear what your saying and don't disagree just saying there is a different feeling to be had there at least

The guys working on locomotion spent A LOT of time finding the right balance between responsiveness and momentum when tuning the bigs. You probably can't really tell from the video, even though czar was trying to demo with Dwight, but trust me you'll feel it immediately. I have a feeling that when the demo drops, the complaint that bigs can seemingly turn on a dime will quickly disappear. And people concerned about the apparent lack of defense will also see that's a non-issue as well.

If I can piggy back here. think about it like this . If you had 25 possessions on offense. A great defense will still break down a certain amount of those possession in real life... even a stalwart defensive team will break down. So when playing the game on all star and above 17-18 of the possessions your forced to take a jumper or challenged shot. the others are the times you can get to the rack and actually have a chance to get a PIP...


However my job if I'm trying to show you offense in a video is to play until I can capture those 5-8 possessions where I can finish or break down the d because i am trying to show you that it can be done and how to do it..

Capturing is a beast man because on those 5-8 possession where I do break my man what if i hit the wrong shot button and layup rather than dunk or drop the controller or whatever the case maybe..

On just about every video someone is scoring which means the defense was out of position or just on of those occassion where the cpu had a let down.... It would be no fun showing you the 8-10 times I tried that move and got stuffed...then it would be like Booo He sucks why can't he score...

anyway just my two cents

I took more jumpers in live 10 than any other nba game I have played. It really a mid range game. I was sooo excited when I got a dunk or layup cause you don't make it there too often so you need to make it count when you do..

and thats totally understandable. But i notice in other vids the lack of defense and the reason i brought it up after watch this was that it seems that the defense gives the offense too much respect and it seems like its easy to get space to get shots off. I might just be looking into it too much.

I'm not saying the defense is perfect by any means... but you don't see ton's of dunks in my captures for a reason.. I tried to capture everything on all star level which means it took me forever to get good stuff on offense sometimes.

It has been widely reported that most of the other live vids for offense are captured on a level below all star which is the recommended level. When you see all the contact animations and how difficult it can be to get past that ( not every time sometimes it does break down) You might have a different opinions... I'm as hard core as the next guy.... but the celtics and spurs do still get dunked on.... Layups still do happen in the NBA ... Even in the finals not every shot is contested.... breakdowns happen and so it is with Live 10..

I did not get the chance to stress test the help d or anything else but it did not stick out to me as broken because i was not just tip toeing thru the tulips..
