I just hope and pray that the superstars have the same tendencies as I see on television. That trailer didn't get me hyped because I've been already knowing what to expect from the gameplay. The implementation of the additional things is what I'm ready for like the commentary, D-League implementation, My Player, facial expressions (if they are even there seriously), ect. The gameplay is what it is plus some better control and minus the choppy animations. Definitely looking forward to the gameplay and the trailers. Rose looks so much better too. In 2K9 he looked like an old man with wrinkles all over. I wonder how much sharper the rest of the league looks.

The only thing that gets me is people saying that the animations are the same as 2K9. How can anyone who's played the combine believe that? 10 minutes into playing it I already saw a slew of new moves and that's just from a 40-something rated created player. That teaser was a 1 minute + highlight real and u make up ur mind about the finished product based on that? That doesn't make any sense 2 me. It's already been established that they scrapped every animation pre 2K7 and added what...like 5,000 new ones??? I think the dudes @ Take-Two find some kinda satisfaction in driving many of u guys nuts EVERY YEAR lol I know people want more info...more vids...more gameplay footage...but folks scream 4 this....EVERY YEAR! @ some point u just gotta accept what IS, have some faith and be eaaaasy. I believe the game's gonna be crack and whatever u say or do isn't gonna speed up time 2 10/6 or change their marketing plan...or lack thereof. Also, keep in mind that this is basketball and fundamentally the game doesn't change so the same can be said 4 some animations. That cross-over move is a good one but does need 2 be less effective (which we can't say if it is or isn't @ this point). It was just implemented in 2K9 so why remove it totally? Be cool fellas...

To the people complaining about lighting and textures, have you actually been to an NBA game? Im just asking because there jerseys aren't shiny except the wizards gold jersey and maybe a few others and while the lights are brighter that in 2k the players aren't. Thats the difference between 2k and the competition it looks more realistic. camera lighting is what makes them look bright on the tv but if you go to a game and you actually step on a court ( i did so in college) then you will realize you dont glow either, lol.

Loved the trailer by the way. And I agree the combine showed me all i needed to know that this game will be much improved over last years game.

You got a chance to participate in one of those halftime skills competitions? what events did you compete in? did you win? what was the prize? I've attended quite a few games too and walked across the court here and there. What got me was the guys who wear flip flops ad tried to compete in those half time competitions, but what can ya do right? I live In SoCal, but still if I knew I had a chance to compete in one of those events, I'd wear sneakers.

The textures definitely need to be a higher resolution. This is obvious when you play the PC version. That platform can benefit from more powerful hardware and the resulting textures. It just leads me to believe that if 2k were to push the games graphics, you'd see slow down.

And the lighting is terrible. If they got a new lighting model next year the difference would be huge. The Show is a great example of this... 2k's game right now reminds me a The Show 08, where it looked good but dull lighting really took away from the game. The Show 09 however... looks stunning. And from what I learned at Sony, the lighting model is a HUGE part in this.

I think it's hard to tell about the lighting til we see actual Gameplay clips. The 2 trailers we have seen so far (the Kobe and the DRose trailer) remind me of the way EA traditionally markets and hypes their games- they show one guy from an angle that we typically don't see when we play, pulling off impressive moves. I especially remember Madden putting these types of videos out and just thinking, "Ok, so the RBs are beasts, so are the LBs, but how is the actual gameplay shaping up?" and from the videos released, you can't really tell (until closer to release when the actual Gameplay videos are up).

I don't agree. The colors have obviously been off (see the Lakers court wood color) but the lighting is noticeable IMMEDIATELY.

Plus if it were something they were doing, you'd see it being marketed everywhere.

dont know why everyone is complaining about that hesitation crossover like its unguardable.. just unlock after the first cross and u wont get sucked in2 the 2nd crossover
stop relying on the lock on D to play D for u all the time

That video was slightly wack in that it looks EXACTLY like 2K9 with the exception of faces and some new animations. A 'teaser' is no tease when it looks like the same game we've played for the past year. If I hadn't played the combine, I wouldn't be intrigued to see more. Its gameplay vid, demo or bust for me right now.

Not impressed. Hard to judge without seeing gameplay vids, but the players look like dull zombies in this trailer. There's no "life" to them. The lighting looks bland and "off' too, or completely lacking...go to a real NBA game, and you feel the energy and see the vibrant lighting and colors of the floors, arenas, and jerseys.

I just hope 2k10 is vastly improved from last year (maybe that's why we're not seeing videos?). I don't want to watch slow responsive controls trigger canned out animations. I don't want to see players sliding and suctioned like we saw in this trailer.

Hopefully the demo proves me wrong =/

Watch the teaser of Rose that was posted in here from 2k9 and look at the new one, they don't look the same.
