Try reading my post. I know he's user controlled, what I said was that I though they would have the guy (Jenkins) head tracking the QB even though he badly overran him. That's all.

That's right. Ian took his ball and went home. He'll probably be back after E3 but who cares. The game still doesn't move as smooth as other games so what does he want from us? Lie to his face to make him feel better? If all his hard work still results in animations not as smooth as a 5 year old game then what?

Looks good, love the way Romo moves and throws like himself. The crowd seems better, and I really liked the pile on and the refs pulling people away after the fumble. Not sure I will buy this game, but so far it seems improved from last year.

Let me also piggyback on this. Moegames it's not simply the size. The bigger problem is the speed. The DE's engage way to early. They don't run an arc. It's more like the OT determines where they are going to be able to go. This might partly have to do with the plays that are called. But it might not.

It's the plays that are called. In the vid, the user didn't spread out the dline, nor did he fan them out at the line of scrimmage. None of the plays actually have the dline line fanning out or crashing inward(there are some plays with stunts). If the play doesn't have some sort of a stunt, it has the dline going straight ahead.

I think the ends are doing what their supposed to, it's just that in the vids the DEs are getting handled by the OTs. The OTs are steering them out wide; the DEs aren't succeeding at steering the OT into the QB. It could be due to the level of difficulty that they're playing on.

It's be real nice if A, Ian could tell us what level they were playing on and B, if he could show us a vid where the DEs are spread out at the line of scrimmage, and fanned outward.

there is enough footage to go back and look at little things. At about 1:15 into the video, take a look at how the wide receivers take their routes and how their corresponding defender covers them. Even though Mcnabb gets sacked, if you keep rewinding that scene and look at what the other players are doing and how the defense moves now, you might get a better understanding of how madden has improved this year.

ALSO.....that build is over 2 weaks old. so some of the little twitches (mostly in the line play) have been fixed by now.

Ummmmm you guys who are getting excited about the coin toss and the QB talkin on the phone do realize that all of that was in NFL 2k5 right? Madden's presentation is so far behind that it really makes me wonder how much farther along the 2k series would be if it never had to stop production...Oh well, I can only wonder. EA really hasn't pushed the envelope at all. Shoot, what makes it all the more farcical is that visual concepts found a way to put these things on their game on the XBOX. They haven't even had the oppurtunity to make NFL football games on this generation of videogame consoles! Step it up EA
