Ok. Name the 10 receivers in the NFL that are better than Owens.

Right now? I guess you can make a case for all of these guys:

1. Andre Johnson
2. Larry Fitzgerald
3. Randy Moss
4. Steve Smith
5. Calvin Johnson
6. Anquan Boldin
7. Reggie Wayne
8. Greg Jennings
9. Roddy White
10. Brandon Marshall

But I think that TO falls somewhere in the top 10.

Well seeing how Owens was named tenth, I would go with the nine in front of him a Greg Jennings and possibly his new teammate Lee Evans.

Greg Jennings? Really? BETTER than Terrell Owens? REALLY?

No one past Moss on your list is better than T.O.

Roddy White is a one year wonder, and does not belong on this list.

Roddy White has had two really good years in a row. He's not a one year wonder. As a falcon fan they overrated his catching because he does drop the ball on occasions. Everything else is good.

Okay genius this should be easy enough since enough people have already beaten me to the punch in the short time span since I posted that.

The 9 receivers ahead of him already makes that a pretty short list, so only 1 WR needs to be better than him to qualify.

First, let's start with the guy that's led the league in receptions the last few years (I want to say 5 years, but I'm not too sure about the exact number), T.J. Houshmandzadeh. The guy is a beast, catches almost everything thrown to him, and has only missed a handfull of games. He is the Anti-TO, he has a good attitude AND he can actually CATCH what is thrown to him!

You could also argue Greg Jennings (#6 WR in 08), Antonio Bryant (#8 in 08), even Wes Welker (#9 in 08), T.O. benefited from the team around him, which he eventually dismantled. Let's see him put up decent numbers in 09...

They wouldn't have even had a chance if not for that 99 yard fumble return by Harrison.
i think he's saying you can (could in vick's case) surround these players with average talent and still be an elite team. this is a fact when it comes to McNabb and to a lesser (since he has had SOME weapons) Favre.

TO is a top 10 receiver, it was a rough year for him, but he can still put up #s.
I agree with you on Ben. He had a 22.6 rating at SB XL* and his team isn't exactly known for it's elite offense.

(Ben: Mental note, if you can't throw a decent pass in the red zone, just run your pasty *** towards the goal line, it will work 50% of the time even if you make it 0% of the time)

Re: Madden NFL 10 Ratings: Top 10 by Position (ESPN Videogames)

Terrell Owens is a fantastic wide receiver. Personally, though, I never felt that Owens would run all the routes. If I'm wrong, I'm willing to admit it, but that's always my feeling. That being said, I have trouble suggesting that Owens isn't as good as someone like Roddy White or Jennings. Yes, Owens is 35 years old, but until he shows me he's lost it, I'm not so sure.
