Pitt averaged 21 ppg, 20th in the league, take away the defensive scores and that probably drops to about 25th,so what did Ben do again? If you ask me, he got a "he's got a ring so that means hes great" card from EA.

Maybe Trent Dilfer is a little harsh but McMahon of the 85 Bears is a good comparison. That team was one of the best but there were many qbs much better than Mcmahon that year.
So are you saying that Roethlisberger was a better QB last year when he threw for 65% 7.8 ypa, 3154 yds, 32 TDs and 11 picks in 15 games?

With a bad offensive line, QBs are going to be sacked and that leads to fumbles, especially against great defenses. And as far as points scored... They played the NFC East, the AFC South, and the Ravens twice. Maybe that and the fact that they were down 2 starting running backs, had a bad offensive line, and a lot of WR drops throughout the season had something to do with that.

QBs also have 'off years' but I don't consider that to be the case last season for Roethlisberger. He had 3 bad games last year that make his season look mediocre. You're making it seem like every game he was going out and laying an egg. The other 13 games of the season 16:7 TD:INT ratio. 19:8 including playoffs (16 games).

Every QB has bad games. Manning threw SIX interceptions in game 2 years ago, Brady and basically every other QB has thrown 4. Manning played pretty poorly this past season until he got healthy (10-9 TD:INT ratio through the first 7 weeks).

I'm sure if Ben had thrown 25 TDs it wouldn't be an issue but 17 just isn't flashy enough. The fact is, is that the Steelers all but refused to pass the ball inside the 10 yard line (a philosophy that failed miserably as far as getting TDs) and that's where most TDs passes come from. Ben even had a few long TDs called back from holds (Giants, Browns, and I'm sure there was another one too). I thought after he led the offense the full length of the field to win the Super Bowl that Roethlisberger had proven that he wasn't just 'along for the ride.' What else does he have to do?

just like a couple of years back.... EA lowered T.O.'s speed below 90.... and just like a couple of years back....during the season they will up his speed to 95 or what ever.

T.O. is still one of the Fastest players in the league....hopefully when he proves this again with Buffalo, EA will take notice.

I'm sure Shaun Hill's stats are low.....but I expect EA to improve them as the season goes on.

I also expect Vernon Davis' rating to go up as well......

Damn I can't wait till football season!

T.O. is not as fast as he used to be. No way he ever see's anything close to a 95 again. I would say he should still get 91 speed for right now.

One note: Patrick Willis 88 strength way to high he is 240 Ibs! I can understand Merriman getting mid 80's because he is 270 combined with being a workout warrior.

even though they gave him an 89.....sure 91 would be fine for now....but I feel he is faster than most WRs in league and it shows during gametime.....but yes he is not as fast as he was with the 49ers.

you remember this play last year..... look how T.O. is knocked on his arse by the endzone... the CB Nick Collins has a running 20+ yard head start.... sure Collins is running through traffic a little but T.O. runs him down.

T.O. had a off year last year.....but the QB situation last year in Dallas had a big part with his and the overall offense's production....

I can pull up clips of him still burning DBs, from last year......but like I said its not a big deal.... I expect EA to up his speed as the season goes on.

so you are saying that Romo isnt near as good as CHRIS REDMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO? CHRIS REDMAN!!!!!!

Give the man his props and give him his ratings
No Romo kills Redman and Ryan, he was just hurt for 5 weeks. 5 Weeks where Romo had a brace on and we had Brad Johnson and Brooks Bollinger under center.

Romo Healthy those 5 weeks

TO would have put up way better numbers.

Someone explain to me how Greg Olsen isn't in the Top 5 Tight Ends? This guy is a beast, and put up good numbers with Kyle Orton!
