But here is a news flash. How big of a difference has there ever been from rookie to all-pro, in the past? Because I'm just giving Ea the benefit of the doubt. When I first went online with Madden I was amazed at how many people played the same way. Then I played some buddies locally and they played the same way as the online folks.

So again if they don't fix the core people will never have a reason to play football. They will just do the ridiculous stuff the game allows them to do.

The funny thing is I don't even care much about the no sim players but just compare the players in the 2k5 tourney to the Madden tourney players. The stuff they can pull in Madden makes the game not even a football game anymore. Dropping your entire defense in coverage?! CMON! Again there is something wrong FUNDAMENTALLY wrong with a so called SIMULATION football game when you can even accomplish that. ROOKIE OR ALL-MADDEN.

Ian is the new head of the team... so he wasn't the one that made the game like that in the past...

Ian has basically said that he wanted to keep rookie and pro modes the same in terms of play since casuals enjoy playing the game that way.

All-pro and all-madden got the most tuning and like I said before, this year the difference in rookie/pro and all-pro/all-madden will be the biggest they ever were in a madden game due to this.

I can base off track record because EA puts up silly gimmicks and people fall for them every year. Having OSers come to Orlando is a gimmick whether you want to think about it that way or not. It's good business sense to have positive hype around you. That way, EA can go out and say that hardcore gamers like it, and this will be the best sports game ever.

I hope EA did take their advice. I would love to see a great football game out of Madden 10. I'm saying that I wouldn't get my hopes up because of Maddens 06-09.

Or maybe I can't dumb down my English to understand what he wrote. I'm guessing he's saying that I have never played Madden in the next- gen series. That would be a lie, considering I own Madden 07 and have rented the past two versions. I still play 2k5 on a regular basis though.

Of course, I can't understand seventh- grade English, so maybe he wasn't saying that. If so, my apologies.

I hear ya, but their maybe only 1 football game in the house nowadays, and in most households, that game is Madden.

The kids will play against each other on rookie because they like those high scoring games. Those kids aren't franchise or single season players, they either go up against the A.I. or against each other.

I just don't see what the big deal is having a level for novices or kids, besides it's not football. It's can be football on levels higher than rookie.

I don't think you are giving kids enough credit. I have seen grown *** men play worse than a kid plays just because they don't know any better. I know when I played my buddies when I was younger the worst thing we were doing was calling the same plays.

But again, if you don't allow little Tommy to complete bombs every other play then little Tommy won't grow up thinking he can complete bombs every other play.

No, I said EA could read off of the boards in the past. I have never said at any point that they had been there before.

Your right, I misread about what you said about EA reading off the boards.

Are you privy that they read the OS boards, though? Ian was the first one that posted over here. Before that, I didn't recognize anyone from EA over here.

Maybe you should lay off the hard stuff as well and try reading comprehension. My point is, the 8 people that went to CD were hard core Madden critics. They let EA know what didn't look right, and sent feedback to Ian even 1-2 weeks after CD.

Is that clearer for you?

They have before, but I admit not in the same fashion as they do today. I take it as a positive sign, but then again I look at their track record.

And thank you for clearing up that second paragraph. Now that I can read it, I'm not disputing that at all. What I'm saying is what you put in writing doesn't always get interpreted correctly.

I have heard it from EA too. I've also heard that we will play the game in a whole new light in Madden 10, just like in Madden 09, just like in Madden 08, and so on. I don't believe a word of it until I see it.
