the dreaded 1st basemen coming off bag non -issue so far...and outfield slow down seems better but just a touch still...only after 5 inninigs....still using big joe slider set....may look for new ones but so far am liking it

Damm...I decided to start with my 3rd slider set from pre patch

and in the first 2 innings i have walked the cpu 4 times with sabathia...

is much harder to pinpoint and the cpu takes pitches...

this is with my sliders from pre patch

The CPU batting aggressiveness has definitely been toned down. In my first game played, I was able to strike out the CPU on a few occasions without them swinging away. The pitching has also been improved. Now you can't pinpoint the location of your pitch like before. I was actually throwing some wild pitches. This was all played on default level All Star.

The patch made this a great game of baseball.

i threw first pitch strikes to the entire yankee lineup and they swung at every first pitch....hopefully its me with the meter thats causing the cpu to do that.

ur not kidding....im totally let down so far. hopefully its just me and my pitching to the meter skills. either way, the cpu swung at every first pitch regardless. what a joke.

so pre=patch, i was a month into a 2 team franchise, playing about 1/2 the games with both teams...not once did i have a freeze.

post-patch, 3rd hitter in the 1st inning the game locks up, has done this 3 times in a row

Question: did the patch address picking your opposing pitcher in play ball mode?

I had a save in the middle of a game between yankees and philles. Throw first pitch fastball, games fine, threw second pitch curveball game froze... figure it was just a random thing. So i loaded the game back up, first pitch curveball to test again... and boom another freeze ... these are complete xbox freezes not just the game

So yea needless to say i had to load the game and then quit out in order for my franchise to work again.

No! You still can't edit the cpu's starting pitcher!

The outfield does play a little better. No easy pick-offs at 2nd and the batter is a LITTLE less agressive.

I play on All Star difficulty and just had a pretty good game.

I did have two fielding issues (I never had this problem before either) that almost made me throw my controller and turn the game off! They were both instances where my Pitcher was running over to cover 1st and the throw was perfect but he never touched the base and the runner was safe both times!

It cost me 1 run but I did still won by one. I just wish the animations and lighting were a lot better and smoother.

Yeah I was kind of all over the place with C.C. as well...not really sure why, I'm not pitching any differently "post patch"...

...and I'm using BFJ's set.

I just played a great game losing 1-0 to Peavy using Joe's sliders. The AI agressiveness was only toned down a little. They still hack too much for my liking. Also, I felt the CPU threw way too many strikes. Hopefully sliders will tone the CPU's obsessive strike throwing.

things i love about the game:

1) players still swinging left and right at pitches over the plate. even with 3-0 counts and bases loaded.....effing awesome 2k!!!!

2) the horrible stutter when the ball is in play. i thought this was 360 and not nintendo. man what a letdown. as much as i wanted to like this game, i ,ay have to put this on ebay as i figure this is the last patch.....

im not trying to troll but this is a disgrace.
