I will also side with anyone I choose to as Long as I feel they deserve support. I don't care if it's Ian , you, or anyone else in this forum.

I guess you feel since Im defending Ian Im only doing so cause Ian is EA lead man.
Wrong I have received infractions for coming down hard on Ian, but like I said what is right is right.
No, my reason for not wanting people to defend Ian is because the more people say it looks great, there pre ordering already, you're doing a great job, the less Him and his guys are gonna go back and tweak it to make it better. And it does need to be tweaked. It can be alot better.

Is that similar to a boss coming up to you while you are in mid project and stating that you are doing a good job? Do you just, all of a sudden, slow down and just tweak the project till the end?

That doesn't make sense.

stark I am just baffled that you don't think the things Ian has been showing will make a difference to gameplay.

I think you are truly miss understanding the relevance of these things he has shown up to now.

Gentlemen. It's only March. I have not heard any news on the stuff I want most in Madden 10 either, but EA has been clear that we wont hear anything "big" until at least the draft. I dont think it's time to panic or say Madden 10 is going to be this or that. Im guarded (because of Madden's presentation ignorance since moving to the Xbox 360) but hopeful because of what i've seen so far from EA in the past couple of months.

I don't think any of us can put together exactly how all these gameplay improvements will add up. But they are clearly moves in the right direction. Ian doesnt need to be posting this stuff, but he does anyway. A lot of posts here feel unappreciative of the extra effort that team is doing - to be a prescence on this forum. Im not an Ian-fanboy by any means, but you have to admit that he has been great in communicating the "sim" mantra - at least from a gameplay perpective so far. Would you rather hear nothing at all? I personally like these "teaser" updates and I really feel the gameplay is going to be much improved as a result of their attention to detail. Still waiting to see what they are doing with presentation, but Im sure that will come.

I totally disagree. We have to give Ian and his crew a chance. And from what they've shown so far, the few changes they've made all ready makes 010 better than 09. I think we ALL should be very appreciative that Ian, Phil, and the other guys are at least trying to respond to the communities concerns. Just remember the arrogance of David Ortiz, who basically said to the community take it or leave it. And one more thing about these guys, and I think it's the most important thing...Peter Moore. He being formally of Sega Sports. Good thing man, good thing.

Ya it's march, so what? He's here to interact with the community and if they can give some input on something that can be refined/adjusted before it becomes the final product, then that's a huge plus. It'd be better to whine about it now when there's perhaps a chance to have it adjusted as opposed to having to put it in a wishlist when the game comes out!

People who're pointing out things that could be refined are not hating on Ian, not giving them a chance or saying that Madden is going to be a crappy game this year (at least not myself or guillotine). We're INTERACTING with the team to see if maybe small adjustments can be made to improve the game, we're not here blindly saying the game is crap or coming in without ideas supported by arguments. Guillotine already pre-ordered his copy and I'm leaning heavily on purchasing the game this year after seeing the communities response (even though I promised myself never again).
