A question for those who have logged some time with the demo:

When you poorly execute a pitch aimed near the edge of the strike zone, does it result in a ball or a grooved strike (or a mix of both)? In other words, are 'meatballs' truly gone, or simply not a 'feature' anymore? Or to put it yet another way, is it possible to throw a ball while aiming in & around the strike zone? I live on the corners when I pitch and would love to see more of my misses turn into balls so I could actually walk people...

The analog pitching still sucks in my opinion, presentation is very good, other than everyone in the dugout doing the same animations at once, Silly. Hitting is pretty easy. Baserunning stinks. Overall, I am so glad I own a PS3 too, as a baseball gamer, nothing beats the show. Ill have to rent 2k before I buy. Overall, I am dissappointed

on one play i smacked a ball with werth to left field and it looked like it was gonna be a HR (red indicator and all), and then burrell tries to leap up and catch it but he mistimes his jump and the ball bounces off the wall for a double, i thought it was a pretty cool sequence and looked pretty realistic

I've only played the demo twice. In the first game not one called strike but in the second game the CPU took about 5 called strikes. Howard even toook a called third strike on the corner. So there is hope that this could be tweaked even more in the full version.

what about the pitching sux exactly? This is my first time playing a 2k baseball game and I find it ok. Not any different than button press pitching, here you hold a stick there you hold a button, sooooooo different. Is it hard for you to get used to it?
