Thanks KGin. One more thing, How are the replays?? Do they show replays of Homeruns or great defensive plays the second after there done, or is it just showed at the end of an inning.

Re: Major League Baseball 2K9 Demo Available, Post Your Impressions Here
It really has a nba 2k9 feel to it. The hit variety is very well done. I tried going the other way for a full inning and saw a nice mix. I also pitched inside for an inning and I saw the comp hit variety good also. Still getting a feel for throw meters, Like putting alittle extra on throws etc.. havent really noticed that much of a diff. Im working on holding left trigger for outfielders to stop that crow hop animation, overall Im going to keep testing but looks damn good from my end...Comment

Unimpressed with the demo. Fielding is horrific and I just had the overwhelming sensation that Im about to get ripped off again. Rental for me.Comment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K9 Demo Available, Post Your Impressions Here
my only complaints so far is fielding is a bit amped up at times. rocket arms still exist etc. but it all depends on how far/long you push stick. if you want a rocket hold the stick. you want a lollypop throw just touch it. It does look a little weird if you rocket it when you are 10 feet from the 1st baseman though. but if you dont want to rocket it then don't. you want to run like a maniac push the stick the whole way, if you want to jog then just barely touch it. these are very minor things imo.... could be tuned down a bit but 2k has a nice balanec here. No more ridiculous wall catches. the gaps and te speed of the fielders seems to be well defined. Double plays are fun imo because of the throwing, you can just tap it to 2nd then rocket it to first. It's niiiccccce...
Still want a game where there are realistic pitch counts and walks. There are called strikes the better you pitch, but still a bit arcadish from that standpoint. I'm hoping with sliders all of this can be rectified. The core game is definately here and it seems pretty well balanced. The demo is probably on pro level which doesnt help either. That could be why it seems so arcadish at times.Last edited by kGinGreen; 02-24-2009, 01:45 PM.Comment

Just played demo during lunch. Quick thoughts:
Why are there no instructions on the changed pitch mechanic? Why does the pitchers view seem so far away? Why no AB review? Gameplay seemed solid thoughVi Veri Universum Vivus Vici

Re: Major League Baseball 2K9 Demo Available, Post Your Impressions Here
Here are my impressions:
1) I didn't see any framerate issues. So that's a big plus.
2) The graphics look better than last year, for sure. The crowd is awesome. I hit a foul ball down the line and you could see them wrestling after it, then the camera cut to the view from the stands right next to where it landed!
3) The game felt way too easy. I scored 9 runs before i made an out, and won 14-0 in 2 1/2 innings. This was my first game.
4) The pitching is strange...I am not sure what I am supposed to do...I like last year's pitching better
5) The player faces look better.
6) The commentary was outstanding. Out. Frickin. Standing.
7) The grass looked much better.
8) The bat sounds still suck. The music they played at the end of innings is better though.
I'll probably pick this game up because I love baseball games, but I would stay away if you are expecting a hardcore sim.Comment

For the record, it was a rather elite home theater setup that they actually took away because there were homeless people sort of lounging in there from time to time. Aside from the whole "homeless" part, I wasn't too far from fitting that description.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
