Major League Baseball 2K9 Video: A's @ Mariners (Bottom 9)

Here is another video from Major League Baseball 2K9. This one shows off the bottom of the 9th heroics from the Mariners.

Each team only had 4 hits in this game. This was the problem with 2k5.

Good to see Computer stealing and trying the sac bunt. It would have been nice if Winning team goes crazy when they win in walk-off fashion. Also the Umpires and Warm-up batter don't know why to call it quits.

This one was my least favorite for some reason. I was not feeling the intensity the situation warranted. The dugout reactions need tuning, they do not seem in sync with the proper reaction at times. I am not digging the hits, those dunks just over the infield are beat.

OK the 3rd basemen has to go after that the pop hit to start the ending. Why didn't he? I don't like some things I am seeing. I know it is a beta, so hopefully they fixed that. Also, this real time dugout thing is maybe not a good idea. It seems weird to see some players doing the same animation and the guy who won the game is going to the dugout like he made an out. All sad like. I don't know I am starting to not feel this game. I hope the real game iron some of these things out.

              Agreed.

When they flashed to the dugout of Seattle...it was off. They were reacting weird....and those two guys kept turning around away from the field of play.

Also...why the heck didn't the OF even try and throw home? He threw to the cut off like he was trying to keep the guy at 1st from taking second, while the winning run went home.

Yeah we need a video of like 3 innings or so. That would show us what we need to see, in order to be satisfied.

It was also to good pitchers on the mound.

Anybody see the hit tracker. All Lazy pop-ups or Routine Ground-balls. I know Steve talked about good hit variety, but we certainly haven't seen it.

                        Agreed with all of you.

A couple things I would've liked to see.

After Ichiro's steal, the fans get loud after the steal, and I was hoping it would be a moment like its a momentum boost and the fans get on their feet and continue getting loud to pump up their team..

but right after he stealed and it went back to the batter, the crowd quieted down.

I wish they had a shot of the pitcher walking back to the dugout after being taken out. with guys on the steps waiting to give him high fives for the good outing, if it was a home pitcher that gets taken out late in the game, it would be nice to see the fans give him a standing ovation as he walks off.

Also, agree with you guys on the reactions of the dugouts. I have seen way to many times the players throw their arms over their head in some weird way. and they seem like they're all doing something all together insinc.

And finally, the GW run. Didn't seem like a walkoff at all, against a division rival..? I liked the fact how the fans got the loudest then. but..branyon just walking back to the dugout with no emotion, no celebration? just players in the dugout clapping and doing the same motion they had been doing the whole game..Why couldn't they get Ichiro scoring and getting hugged by all his team, and the Branyon getting mobbed after rounding first.. COMEON 2K! you gotta make this little additions.

This really gets me worried about the World Series celebration when a team wins it all..

                          Another thing.

Don't know of a lot of fans who do the "woot" motion with their arms during a game..

I've noticed it in nba 2k and you can see fans behind the plate while standing up.

The quality of this video was not that great.
NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.

Doesnt everyone agree that we should have a lengthy 3 inning video though?
