how about getting rid of the ivisible walls to dug outs, etc... so that not only we can see the players actually going in after an inning but mabye once in a blue moon have a player make a diving, or sliding catch into the dugouts, camera pens, and hey even the stands.. that would be cool

75% of the Earths surface is covered by water......the remaining 25% is covered by Ichiro.Comment

I'd go for that too. Good additions.Comment

Re: MLB '09: The Show - Always Room for Improvement
It always amazed me that ASB 05 had a better franchise mode then the new games. I've said it before I would rather have the Rule 5, 10/5 no trade, waivers, etc. then have to worry about ticket prices and promotions.Comment

I agree with your improvements Kris.
I would also like to see Dynamic Lighting going from dusk to night, and lights coming on, etc.
I would also like them to improve the atrocious lag online, and make it a true online game, versus the p2p (peer to peer) 2-player mode over the web that it feels like. Especially not being able to select behind pitcher view when throwing to someone you play against.
It feels like a 2 player game on one console, just tunneled through the internet. Where it needs to be more like MVP and 2K where you can have any player angles set to your client, and someone else have their own.
Catchers throwing signs would also be a nice touch, ball and bat boys. And vendors walking isles, and collision detection in the field and breaking up the double play!Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

To add, I would like the ability to place players on the DL at will, claim off waivers, and have a 3-4 team trade!
Also, actual Minor League stadiums would be great, as well as overhauled Spring Training stadiums.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

same here my friend, same here.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: MLB '09: The Show - Always Room for Improvement
Yea great write up def. My only gripes with the game were all mentioned in the article. I thing the only thing left out was the fact that mlb 09 needs a MO CAP overhaul. Like running, hitting, and pitching. I think it all looks last gen with the exception of the batters and pitchers sig stuff that was done in 08.Comment

I agree, but you have to give The Show credit... it has ALOT of details in it that make you go wow, that really happens. First time for me was when the beach ball wind up on the field. no reason for that to be in the except for the fact, and to steal from EA, "It's in the game" really puts you in the atmosphere. One other thing i would love to see, would be closers coming in out of hte bullpen.Comment

Dynamic lighting, HAS to be in this year.
Weather isn't a big deal, I'm not sure why people want this so much.
But yeah, I agree with playoff atmosphere. Got to get the towels in this year, and I'm not sure if they have this in or not now, BUT, would love to have different audio levels captured depending on the size of the crowd and playoff games...
Also have to get the crowd up with pitchers are pitching out of a jam and or have 2 strikes on a hitter.Comment

Weather is just as important as lighting in creating variation & realism. In fact weather creates different lighting, so both should be implemented together IMO.Comment

can we please PLEASE have realistic body types for managers??? lou pinella, mike scioscia, and all the other big-gut managers haven't been that svelte in decades! and how about a team jacket on em instead of a plain uniform. it's been documented that terry francona has been asked to wear his uniform when managing. he argues that he has a circulatory problem that requires him to bundle up in the outer-wear jackets, etc. in other words, we should almost never see francona in a full bosox uni during a mound visit.
i know this is purely cosmetic, but when you're trying to immerse yourself in a fantasy world and the manager trots out there looking nothing like his real life counterpart, you're ripped from the fantasy! The Show does such a great job in most aspects, but when i see that lean lou pinella paying a mound visit, i suddenly realize that i'm not at wrigley; i'm in my boxers on my recliner at 3 a.m. playing a video game (LOSER!).
please don't remind me that i'm a loser!www.facebook.com/watson.kristopher
