    Wow..just..wow.
As its our first real look at the presentation, I can really see what they meant when they said they were focusing on it this year.

I am envisioning this being on my tv and people over asking me what game im watching...They really nailed what they were going for imo.

Not sure if i want to watch anymore vids now as maybe it will be even better to see it for the first time on my own screen..
    Sim. Ball. Only.

Re: Nuggets - Suns 2K9 Clip

      CPU vs CPU right?

Way too much passing. Hell every coach in the league would have an orgasm if the ball movement was like that. This was one of the biggest problems with the game last year for me. Instead of isolating certain players and using pick n roll with proper spacing the CPU seemed to just sling the ball around (often through my defenders).

I was hoping to see better floor spacing. Real ball rotation. Real pick n roll scenarios (hedge double team with ball swing, defender goes behind the pick shoot the jumper, goes over take it to the hole etc....)

I am sure this game will be good but will it be great? That is what I was hoping from 2k this year. BTW I am not an online player so all those features mean nothing to me. AI is what matters and from the video not a lot has changed.

Good presentation though! Love the end of quarter scenario. Speed differences are noticeable now.

I think it looks GREAT!!! I'm not sure why people complaining, to me it looks amazing. The graphics are great, the presentation is the best you can find, the commentary is ok and the atmosphere is just amazing. I'll be wating for more!

Not complaining, just sharing thoughts about the video and what didn't sit right. We're all 2k heads here, so no need to say that.

          Also, very interesting website JR..

I think it's amazing....just so much little details...pick n roll, players heads tracking the ball, offball movement of players, ref puts hand up indicating 3, crowd chanting defense, AIs penetrate and then back out, Iversion taking his own shot....i mean it looks just like the real thing.

Things didn't look right like Nash doing too many behind the back passes and careless turnovers by Shaq and co. Overall, i am AMAZED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, overall I like what I see. I think it looks fine graphics wise (but then again that's not something I obsess about), but some of the animations look a bit iffy. What concerns me right now is the weird ball movement by the CPU, especially the exchange between Shaq and Amare - also the amount of blocked shots seems too high.

The commentary was so-so and is definately something that needs work in the future.

I too missed stat overlays, but it makes sense that some stats would only be displayed in Association and Season mode - then again I'm left wondering what happened to current game stat-displays. Maybe they are only displayed during freethrows...

for some reason I don't think this is the same build that gamespot or GT have. It all looked very jittery.

Re: Nuggets - Suns 2K9 Clip

The good: Presentation is much improved, the cut scenes after a made basket seems more smooth (Could be the improved graphics), crowd seems more dynamic, the begining video of showing the real videos of players REALLY got me pumped, pre-game warmups looks SICK.

The bad: Choppy with the animations, sliding, Carmello never passes, Shaq and Amare never pass to each other, too much passing, Kellog looks really really idiotic but it's better than nothing, coaches look terrible again...But better than nothing.

Overall I am impressed...I think they stepped it up to another level this year. I will look forward to see more videos. 2k is my first priority because it never fails me...But NBA Lives demo really impressed me...So I will rent before I buy.

Anyone think they used clark kellog because they had him already 3D'd from College Hoops? I almost always play with the commentary off. Especially after the first week.

i love what im seeing the replays at the end of the quarter and the intro in the beginning

the transition animations when making a turn looks jittery and way too many passing...anybody know what difficulty this is?

Steve play the cpu please and post it!

wtf is wrong with passing to the guy standing one metre away and to make things worse it's overhead..I hate it..also it seems that you can't get past the guy without iso as AI couldn't do it in the video..in real world one fake is sometimes enough to get past your guy on speed alone..it looked choppy and jerky..it is beta right?

they changed AI's shot animation a bit..it looked awful last year..was way better in 2k7

to sum up, there are 2 things which bother me: some of the passing animations and sliding, but I'm positive

I really like what I saw during this vid.

CPU vs CPU has never been this franchises strong point but, I'm glad Steve posted these because it gives you a general idea of how the AI works this year.

This series ALWAYS plays 10x better when it's user vs. cpu.

One of my biggest worries was answered after watching this vid. At the 4:15 mark, AI shakes his defender and pulls up for a Jumper!!

CPU controlled players shooting off the dribble has been none existant in this franchise, and it looks like it has finally been implemented. It is VERY important for the AI to be able to shoot of the dribble in this game, for various reasons.

Even if the AI's ability to shoot off the dribble is rare, I'm just hyped that it's FINALLY possible for a change in NBA2K9.

oh and court spacing has not been improved..players tangle up again which is dissapointing

these are only assumptions based on the videos released..I hope I'm wrong with most of the stuff
