The big announcement concerning online play is 5 on 5 association mode. Players can go up to 5 players this year in the association mode. This spices things up because deals can be made and you can be sent to another team. For example, if my team were the Lakers and I wanted to trade Lomar Odom to Houston for Artest. I could very well do so. The fun thing is that Artest will be controlled by whom ever was controlling him during the association. So this provides more realism as if you really are the player. There will be a vote on if the trade should go through. 5 people on my team will vote yes or no. In this case 3 of the 5 players wanted Odom out and 3 or more players on Houston agreed with the trade. This is the big surprise that 2K is holding back. Imagine how many grudges will be held if you traded your friend/teammate. This is what I am hearing from a relative who works in the gaming industry.

NOBODY ASKED THIS! ...Are there any (Flagrant Fouls or Technical Fouls for Coach's and players)? Can you argue bad calls like in MLB 2K7 and 2K8? That would be a nice feature to finally have! OS find out for me!!!!

My guess is no. NBA tends not to like that in the games.
