Re: NBA 2K9 Teaser Video
Bynum clipping through Pierce and the lame crowd were disappointing. That said, everything else was neat. What you'd expect from a teaser. The mid-air adjustments look a lot smoother in transition than they were when previously implemented.Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Teaser Video
thanks all american. Just to restate the in air physics collision is a really big deal. I hope you guys would appreciate that. And I hope that they have got the in air collisons physics put in for the ball handler as well but if not this year next year hopefully as that would just really blow 2k9 out the top.To all in the ASIA PACIFIC AREA
We needed our own community. NOW WE GOT IT.

Re: NBA 2K9 Teaser Video
It's good to see on the layup his head didn't get above the rim, or close for that matter. Pierce's ups have completely diminished over the years, and now when he dunks he rarely gets up there. (Unless he's got a ridiculous adrenaline rush)Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Teaser Video
BTW can anyone tell if it says TD Banknorth Garden on the floor or Boston Celtics? They haven't had TD once since the Fleetcenter changed it's name.Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Teaser Video
Assuming that this is 100% pure gameplay in replay mode, if the game animates and looks like that throughout, it will be simply amazing. I love Rondo's dribbling animation when he's bringing up the ball. It's short, but you can clearly see that he's pacing himself, it looks lifelike.Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Teaser Video
2k games have ALWAYS looked crisp and sharp in replay mode.. This literally gives you no indication about how the game will look or play. hence the term teaser. its quite the teaser i must say.
Going back to 2k1, in replay mode, the game was as nice looking as anything. even in motion, in replay, anti-aliasing looked to be in full effect working. but once the gameplay gets in motion in normal play, jaggies are everywhere. Nothing too extreme but they are visible. i think we all may need to do a wait and see with our own eyes approach on this one.
MOSES, they never had fleetcenter on the court either. i dont know what the deal is. i remember 2k2 though, they named the arena "BOSTON ARENA" but in game it was fleetcenter on the court. A huge mistake, but it worked in the fans favor. 2k3 and after had just BOSTON CELTICS, or nothing at all. thats quite a pet peeve i have with the game which may be out of their control.
those names on the courts add so much. MSG was in every game the past ten years prior to nextgen systems 3 years ago. inside drive 05 has every arena even fleet center and MCI, something that 2ksport seems to have problems with yearly (contract issues im guessing). one year delta center is missing, the next conseco. last year UNITED center was named just that for the bulls, but the court was missing those letters..Last edited by RubenDouglas; 08-15-2008, 01:33 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Teaser Video
Really nice graphics and animation.
I'm not really jumping over a teaser though but you guys gotta admit... that lay up was sick... from Pierce's take off, to his facial expression... looking forward to the next Teaser Vid but that one's nice...
I'm patiently waiting for a gameplay video.Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Teaser Video
Did he use the backboard or not? Sure don't look like it. There hasn't been anyone since the Iceman who could fingerroll worth a damn (maybe T-Mac). 2k always has way to many layups that just kind of morph into the basket instead of using the backboard.
Anyway I hope after all this Madden stuff calms down we get some 2k media.Comment
