Who are you to tell someone what sport is their sport and what sport isn't? I guarantee you, I've been around the sport a lot longer and a lot more than you would imagine, and I like the game. My brother is a defensive coordinator at the college level, he loves the game and is playing in an online dynasty with me as well, (as is his QB coach). So please save the "Football isn't your sport if you don't like it" argument. It's inaccurate.

Is it the perfect replication of the sport? Nope. But at this point in my life, that's not what I need. It plays a fun game of football, and I enjoy it. That's all there is to discuss for me.

I do agree with the poster who said it's enjoyable offline and not so much online. That's been my experience as well. Although I just don't play online to much anymore. Don't have the time, and finding a quality opponent is

I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying this game- they nailed the offensive gameplay in terms of the quick passing- something that never worked on PS2 becuase it took too long to develop. WR screens don't get picked off and flares into the flats and quick hitters to the tight end work nicely. It's great knowing that you can get back in the game when you give up a score. I finished my first season in dynasty with UTEP (I wanted the 1-6 acheivement this year since NM State would be awesome with this offensive engine) and my d isn't great but they make some stops and get TO's- the no pass rush is frustrating, but with the quick releases it's a moot point anyway- like for teams that run the spread in real life. I'm impressed so far and pleasantly surprised.

Where did I tell you, you were wrong?

I disputed your claim, of saying anyone who says that they get more than .5 sacks a game, kept the CPU below 65% was a liar. That's it.

I think we all want differant things from our games, and that's fine. I'm not arguing to prove myself right, I'm trying to get a sense of how the other side thinks about things. It's a mentality I don't share, so it's tough for me to understand.

Is it really that hard for you guys to think both sides are right?
That someone like my brother who doesn't mess with sliders or rosters think the game is awesome outside the kick returns.

Or someone like me who is lukewarm on the game because of things like the rosters, the returns, the QB AI, the sliders, the weather channel not working, etc.

It all depends what you want out of the game. Some people just want fun, others might want a sim experience, etc.

So can we stop the BS guys? Those bashing the game might be the same guys because some of those things never get changed. Those standing up for the game either gloss over or don't care about the same things.

Some people strive for their perception of realism. I used to be that way. At this point, I just want it to be fun. For me this game is fun, it's as simple as that. As I have gotten used to playing defense, and how the game engine works the game has gotten more fun for me.

Also there is some 2k5 agenda pushing going on here, but that's par for the course these days. It is what it is.

If you enjoy the game, great. If you don't, that's a bummer, and you certainly have a right to voice your opinion. But some people lose sight of things, and go overboard and start acting like their opinion is the final say.

Exactly. I get my dose of realism every fall when I go down to Neyland Stadium to watch the games. Now, I just want to enjoy myself, and I can do that with this game as it is.

Re: Despite Flaws, NCAA 09 a Great Experience

And I'm saying that this game is not fun for me because I expect for there to be some sort of gameplay that mimics football. I mean sure, this game has first and ten and a football, but other than that it's a bit sketchy.

Also, I'm not saying that this should be 2k5. I say 2k5 because that was the best football game ever made. Is it perfect? No. Will any game be perfect? No. Yet, the fact of the matter is that this game has too many broken parts to make it fun at all.

I'm sorry you have given up looking for realism and settling for a broken game with roster updates, but I haven't given up that fight. I think we ought to be treated better than what EA has been giving us. There is still a chance in Madden, but it's being pumped up like NCAA was, so I have my doubts.

Never settle for anything bkrich83, or anybody on here. If you do, you get NCAA 09
