Realistically, no. Why would the Devils give us a sweetheart package when they could get him for free? The Mavs got more for Luka than the Canucks will get for Hughes.

*looks in mirror* I could probably use a good hunger strike, actually.

EDIT: Just saw Rutherford's latest press conference. Someone needs to take him behind the house and ask him to look at the flowers.

Re: NHL 2025 Offseason

I've taken to listening to the 32 Thoughts podcast to fill the void in between playoff games. That coupled with Yzerman and McLellan facing the media the other day has prompted some thoughts.

1. Friedman wonders if Boston throws its hat into the ring for Sullivan, while also commenting on how the Bruins have historically been more reserved about paying for a coach, and how the Rangers may refuse to let anyone gain traction with Sullivan before locking him down themselves.

2. Speculated that with Vancouver not in on Tocchet (obviously), not in on Sullivan, not in on Quenneville (shame on anyone who is), if they just decide to tap Manny Malhotra.

3. If the Utah "leak" is real, I wish they'd lean into it and come up with a fun logo and mascot instead of the hideous "concept art" that's been out there. Think of some of the old hilarious IHL teams and logos. The Minnesota/Manitoba Moose. Orlando Solar Bears. Cleveland Lumberjacks. I want a funny mammoth logo.

4. Yzerman and McLellan had some very pointed comments about the "core" of the current Red Wings needing to do more. Obviously responding to Larkin's rather incredible comments from last week. Yzerman also mentioned being willing to spend huge money in free agency if it's for the right player (...). Also, Red Wings fans are already driving themselves crazy trying to find out what exactly happened with Jake Walman. Guessing that will be one for the lore of the franchise moving forward, up there with Goose Loonies and the Swedish Mafia.

So much potential with Mammoth that they better not blow it.

I said it before, you can easily do the Mammoth head or just the tusk, where the tusk is in the shape of a U.

Colorado Mammoth logo is a decent one so it's hard to do something like that without blatantly copying them.
