Re: Kobe Bryant 'Let Your Game Speak'
I am sorry but no way is Kobe on Jordan's level. Jordan won Defensive Player of the year, 5 time MVP, 6 time Finals MVP and never lost in the Finals, 10-time Scoring Champion and a host of other achievements. Kobe is probably the 2nd best SG to play the game but MJ is number 1.
Nice vid though.Comment

It doesn't matter who you like, it's the 2K forum, not the NBA forum, and even there such threads usually get locked.

Re: Kobe Bryant 'Let Your Game Speak'
I just want to say that if you go to the dynasty forum you will find my thread there. I have started an association (franchise) on 2K11 on my 360 in honor of Kobe Bryant. With next season in question I'm committed to playing this franchise all the way until he retires. Comparing Kobe and Jordan does both of them a disservice. I agree with one of the replies above that they did both play in different era's. When Kobe came into the league in 1996 Jordan was already 35 years old. That is like comparing Kobe and LeBron. LeBron James as of this moment does not have the stature to be in the same sentence as Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan. Between the 2 of them, 11 championships, 7 Finals MVPs, 12 Scoring Championships, not to mention the countless All NBA 1st team and All NBA Defensive 1st team. LeBron James is not this era's Michael/Kobe. He's this era's Dominique Wilkins. Great scorer, great athlete, but won't win any rings. I've seen on youtube and sportscenter, Michael Jordan being asked the question who's better, Kobe/LeBron? His answer has always been Kobe. Regardless of how you feel about Kobe Bryant off the court you must acknowledge what he has done on the court same as you acknowledge all of Jordan's accomplishments, but in reality Jordan doesnt (a) have the most rings of any player in the history of the league (b) not the all-time leading scorer in history (c) who did Michael succeed as the greatest ever in the history of the NBA? Nobody has ever been able to give me an answer and I pose that question to the members on here. I am huge follower and supporter of Kobe Bryant, however I do not compare him to players from the past. He doesn't want to be the next Michael Jordan, he would rather you call him the first Kobe Bryant. I have met Kobe personally and spoke to him when he invited my high school varsity team to participate in pickups for the opening of his shoe 5 years ago. The man is very humble and his approach to the game, to continue to get better and not settle on his popularity is something that he saw Jordan do and incorporated that into his work ethic. Again, no matter your personal feelings toward an athlete, at least acknowledge their accomplishments no matter who was on their team, who coached them or who they played against. The bottom line is the records that Jordan and Kobe set or broke no other player has come close to and might not. So yes, marvel at their talent for their profession, but compare them not to each other, but individually against players from their era's.
