Is it the difficulty or my skill

I am playing Association with the Nets. I played 50 games (2010-11 season): All-Star/Sim, Cutch Factor On, Real Player % Freethrow Shooting. Ended the year with a 36-46 record

I am now in my second year, I played 17 games (including Preseason). I am currently 11-0, 11 game winning streak. I made moves in the offseason, my players progressed from the following year. I am crushing teams left and right. However, with this same team I have put together, I lost three games in the preseason.

11-0, #1 in Power Ranking. The games are beginning to feel too easy.

    PG- D-Will 95
    SG- Anthony Morrow 72
    SF- Travis Outlaw 79
    PF- Paul Millsap 86
    C- Brook Lopez 87

I almost lost to the Atlanta Hawks, but beat them at the very end 109-107.

Now is it me playing good, or do I need to boost the difficulty. I was losing a lot of games with the Nets the previous year, but now I am dominating (11-0).

It's both. I would consider going after a new slider set (I'm using Redlogic's Hall of Fame sliders, I don't think you'll be crushing teams for a bit if you go with them). You don't want the game to be impossible, but crushing teams isn't exactly fun either.

I understand the fun factor of the game, but what about realism. What if I was using the Miami Heat and I was playing against the Raptors? I am supposed to dominate, its expected. The Raptors having the Heat at their mercy is just unrealistic. I am thinking its the team, the Nets I put together, they are just a contender this year. The Nets previous year were like 72-74 overall, maybe 76 tops. Right now I am at 83 overall.

If I go 25-0 and unlock that achievement for Reward Points, I will consider the sliders - thanks for your input.

I've been tossing that problem around too. I'd love to set sliders to add a bit of a challenge, but I want it to all be realistic. I don't like games that are hard just to be hard. I want to have to fight hard against teams who are better and roll over those teams who aren't. Let me know if you figure out anything
Can the Kings turn it around? Come watch my NBA 2K11 Association!

Well I just lost to the Suns(away game) who gave me a problem earlier in the month... 108-89. I am facing the Thunder(away) right now.

          11-1

I have the same issue as the OP. I'm playing as the TWolves on HOF and am about to win the championship in my 2nd year. I'm the 1 seed. I do have losses but they're few and far between.

Sliders are sim but I upped the CPUs 3pt Accuracy.

I started tweaking sliders even more but then it just gets UNREALISTIC as you start blowing open layups.

              I'd suggest Redlogics HOF sliders.

Conclusion: It is my team, I built them that good.

I just played an exhibition game against the Celtics with the Nets (default rosters)- All Star/Sim, Clutch Factor On. Lost 101-86. It felt a lot harder to play than it did in my Association. Again, this only happened during my 2nd year in Association. In my first year, I could barely win games.. finishing with a record of 36-46 and I played 50 of those games.

All Star Difficulty with the right sliders are about as realistic as it gets without swaying too many of the sliders in one direction for the user and another direction for the CPU. The default 3pt rating at 45 for sim will have the 3pt% too low. What are your shooting, FT, %'s are they reasonable are you blowing teams out? If you are beating teams your talent level is capable of with reasonable stats for you and the CPU then I will say the difficulty is not the problem and keep at it.

As I am playing my games, they will bring up the leaders in shooting percentage from last season... I was 2nd behind the Spurs. I played 50/82 games.

I boosted the difficulty to Superstar, after having a 10-0 lead on the Boston Celtics (@Boston) in the 1st quarter (8:47).

Game was tougher, actually felt like All Star earlier on when I made the switch from Pro to All Star back in April.

                        I won the game 100-88.

I am going to continue to play on Superstar and see what happens.

This is how I feel: If you get an adrenaline rush and enjoy the games then the difficulty is spot on.

But if you say the game is beginning to feel easy, that's not good...

How many minute quarters are you playing? Even on 12 both sides rarely break 100. I Need to find a way to fix the sliders for the computer to make it so that they don't get like 80 points in the paint but that they don't shoot like 35%, either.

There are so many sliders that you can change, though. On Ball D makes the computer play tighter on every payer so if you put it on 100 those dudes will be playing like defensive backs. Hands makes them steal; over 60 or 70 and they'll be warping everywhere and intercepting it. I'd focus on the defensive sliders first, push up hands first... then if you're still balling push up on ball D (I like to keep on ball D kind of low though so that there is an iso game.) Push up steal success so that players lose the ball on bumps more. If you can't make the game harder by playing with those three sliders, then try to lower ball handling for you. I put down shooting sliders a tiny bit but IMO I like to keep the actual shooting (outside, at least, not in the paint) as close as I can but make the 'getting a good shot' a little harder.

12 minute quarters. All Star difficulty, Simulation sliders. Clutch Factor On.

However, I play on Superstar right now, it feels right. I am 15-2, I lost to the Blazers 93-90.

Even though I beat the Knicks 111-106, the game on Superstar/Sim is just rediculous. I was in Gallo's face and he still hit 3s. I enjoyed the challenge though. I am currently 3-1 on Superstar/Sim. Could be the Clutch Factor, but I doubt Gallo is Clutch, lol.
