    Are injuries a problem???

Just started my first association... and within the first week, the following players have injuries that have taken them out for at least a month...

    Chris Kaman
    Blake Griffin
    Shaq
    Al Horford
    Tyreke Evans
    Russell Westbrook
    Varejao
    Brandon Jennings

And that's to mention the day-to-day injuries of many others. Is this the norm, or did I just get caught up in a crazy week of injuries?

one more day played... add Bargnani, Stoudamire, and David Lee to the list.

Anyone else having this issue or what? Or is it just a crazy season? Want to know if I need to turn injuries down. Thanks.

Try messing with your injury frequency/severety sliders. I have mine set at 60/45 and I get a minor injury about 3 games or so. Remember that in the NBA almost nobody plays all 82 games even Kobe missed like 8 games last year.

Im getting decimated by injuries as the bucks in My Player on 12 minutes. The PF with the crazy name (i cant remember off the top of my head) tore his ACL and is the only player in the league out for the year and im at the end of Novemember. Magette was hurt for a few weeks and hes my leading scorer. Jennings is playing hurt with a sprained MCL. Redd has been out for a few weeks with a separated shoulder.

The only other team in the league hurtin with injuries is the Spurs. Right now they have Manu out with a broken back (wow lol) and duncan with a broken jaw.

Id probably tone the injuries down a little bit but I dont think I can change the setting in my player

That doesn't work. I set injury freq to ZERO and simmed a few days, and still saw major players out for the 4-6week or 6-8 week range. I turned injuries off in my association cuz of this. Wish it was like The Show and allowed us to create injuries. I'd be willing to keep up to real life and manually injure players as they occur IRL, or just randomly injure a player everyday, with limiting myself to creating only one major injury per month. This really needs to, and I hope it is looked at for the patch coming up cuz right now I can't play with them on. I rarely see in in-game injuries, but simmed games there are far too many injuries that causes a player to be out.

Injuries are a little ridiculous at times. In My Player, I watched Chris Kaman go down with an injury (back spasms) and he was out for a couple of weeks. In his first game back (still "hurt") he gets fouled and gets up with a limp. I thought it might just be the back spasms, but it says he now has a sore knee.

Injuries, for once, are perfect. Just lower the slider - if this turns into a complaint, we'll go from having injuries, to once again never seeing any.

                Again, it's perfect.

It didnt work? Thats weird, when i started doing test sims while messing with the injury sliders i noticed that the top 20 in PPG and RPG ave. always had 82/82 in the games played/games started column. When i set it to 65/50 frequency/severity i noticed that at least some of the top players had always missed between 10 and 20 games a year. If you look at last years PPG leaders for example:

                  K Durant 82
                  L James 76
                  C Anthony 69
                  K Bryant 73
                  D Wade 77

You notice only 1 them played all 82 games. Melo even missed 14 games. You should check that and see that it like that or close to that

                    This,

But perfect is an overstatement as a high % of the league sill play in all 82 games...

Wait! So moving the frequency slider higer mean less injuries??? I set it to zero like i said and stil saw injuries. So is it backwards?

No way it is, just set it to 100 and saw a huge list of injuries after only simming 1 day. Still however, at zero there are too many for my liking. Even at 0/0 I just simmed 3 days and players OUT are:

                      D West 6-8 weeks
                      A Jefferson 4-6 weeks Really??? at 0/0??

5 more days simmed and add to the list:

                      M Camby 4-6 weeks
                      Ja Crawford 1-2 weeks
                      E Gordon 4-6 weeks
                      C Boozer(Broken back? haha) 4-6 weeks
                      B Jennings 2-4 weeks
                      J Salmons 2-4 weeks

I'm pretty sure the injury slider going up (to the right) means MORE injuries, and to the left means less. The Severity slider up (to the right) means more severe type injuries. I did notice alot of the injuries are minor, and for 1 to 2 weeks the player is hurt but still plays ok. Remember fot most of last year Kobe had a broken finger, but still played (and won) technically you can say he was hurt all year. You should check the durability slider that has alot to do with it, as well as the fatigue rate as player that are tired have more of a chance of injury.
