Hitting is hard enough already in the show without switching to the broadcast view. I will take scoring more than 2 runs a game over the most "realistic" broadcast view. -

Why are his baserunner icons black? Aren't mine yellow?
I'm talking about the circles on the diamond OSD.
What's the deal? Black actually looks pretty good!Comment

FranchisePlay is definitely my favorite Youtube game commentator. He's always does great videos, not too serious, laid back, and best of all non bias. As for this video the pitching meter messes up the real broadcast feel for me, so I would remove it. Other than that everything is on point.Comment

This video just says "change all cameras to Broadcast and turn off the strike zone."Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Nothing new here. Hardball on the C64 was using that pitching/hitting view 30 years ago. The evolution to a realistic catcher view to hit with real ball physics from that perspective is the way the game is meant to be played. It will also hone your pitch recognition skills on the real field. Turn off strike zone and bat circle too. Lets get real!Comment

It's a video game. If I wanted the "most authentic broadcast presentation" possible I'd just watch the real thing.
I'm trying to hit & score runs. Anything other than a behind-the-plate catcher view defeats that purpose for me. Could never do it. Good on you, if you can.Comment

I cannot get depth preception from that view. It's much easier to pick up location, but timing it jist seems impossible for me.Comment

I love this. I think Broadcast view really immerses you in the experience. It does take getting used to, but I personally feel its worth the investment. I wish other sports games (hello Madden?) would attempt to simulate telecast quality like The Show does. Proper camera angles, cuts and edits, tickers, stat overlays, game breaks, highlights with smart dynamic commentary are the polish that bring sports video games to life.Comment
