Owner mode is pointless.

The whole point is to make money and build a new stadium, but you don't even really build the stadium. I just simmed a year with Oakland. went 4-12 and all I did was click the button that said build new stadium and the following year I had a new stadium. I thought it was like a mode where we can pick from different options, like we actually build the stadium like on the old Madden on PS2, but of course not. Its just so lazy and boring.

Please, someone tell me I missed something.

Right on point. So fed up with EA right now. Thought owner mode would be something but all it's been is a bunch of glitches that they're too lazy to fix.

I hate that things like stadium creation and the hiring/firing of coordinators that were in the game on PS2 and Xbox aren't in anymore. It's just downright silly if you ask me and I don't understand the direction EA is taking Madden. If they could have just merged aspects from Madden 2005/06/07 with Head Coach they would have had a great game owner mode-wise.

This sounds pretty true to life really. Make money, get a new stadium, rinse and repeat. The financials, from jersey sales to signing players that are more marketable to - yes - making money and dealing with your stadium is an interesting addition, not sure I'd say it's pointless at all though. Pretty sure you knew all of that though.

Different things are interesting for different people. This guy wants to BUILD a stadium not BUY a stadium. That's not a crazy expectation based on how things worked in the past.

if the game isnt 100% sim why would anyone expect the build a stadium feature have more sim like qualities.

building a stadium should be a multi-year project, and have many layers to it.
