Note: 4 realzz this time. Clearly poll posting skills continue to elude me.
The round of 64 is complete as the field gets narrowed down in the first even Celebrity Hot or Not: Would You Rather? March Madness. There were a few close matchups in round 1 but this is where things should start to get a bit more interesting. We again turn to the East bracket to kick things off.,
(1) Anna Kournikova vs. (9) Rihanna
The bracket's top seed comfortably got past Gina Carano, although Carano was not without her supporters. Rihanna snuck past Tina Fey in one of the opening round's closest matchups. It appears that Kournikova does not have the overwhelming support of the FOFC faithful that she once did, but she should have more than enough against the pop star. Kournikova is not likely to be tested until the next round when, assuming she advances, she will meet the winner of...
(4) Scarlett Johansson vs. (12) Yvonne Strahovski
The pending pollster Strahovski had a big upset, at least on paper, over fifth seeded Kiera Knightley. We speculated at the time that she was extremely under rated and that proved to be the case. She seems poised to face an even tougher matchup in round 2 facing off against ScarJo. This could be a very tight matchup and either of these women appear capable of making a run to the Elite Eight, if not further.
(3) Megan Fox vs. (11) Sofia Vergera
Fox managed to narrowly avoided the upset against upstart Alison Stokke and she definitely does not appear to be enjoying the same support that helped her garner and 86% HoN rating back in 2009. Vergera is a pending pollster and had a very easy time disposing of Beyonce, however, that's not saying a lot as the former Destiny's Child singer is much maligned by the FOFC community. Her first real test should come here but with the support she has and the disdain that some have for Fox, an upset could be in the works.
(2) Hayden Panettiere vs. (7) Brooklyn Decker
The former Heroes star won comfortably against Isla Fisher, although to be fair Fisher did put up a very strong performance against the #2 seed. Decker on the other hand wasted little effort in disposing of Faith Hill, who for all intents and purposes could be nicknamed "Over the" based on her performance. Decker though gets a much tougher matchup in Panettiere but I suspect Decker will put up a good challenge in what could be a close battle.
