I may start up a new dynasty with my fresh copy of FM09 that just arrived last week. Just wondering if my target group of readers (ie: the guys who frequent this forum) actually go to the dynasty forum or if I should just do the dynasty in THIS forum.

Thoughts?

Guys who like to read dynasties browse the dynasties forum. Simple as that.

Yeah, I just don't like the fact that threads in that forum disappear from the front page after one day...just seems that is pretty counterproductive as far as maintaining interest in those threads. It's no wonder that particular forum isn't as vibrant as it once was...

Guess I just felt that I'd get more 'views' in this forum, which would make it more worthwhile for me to write it and offer the requisite motivation to keep it updated.

My thinking was that there are probably some FM/soccer guys that wouldn't bother to read dynasties and there are probably some non-FM guys that just like to read any good dynasty in general regardless of what game it is.

Fixed. No idea how it got set that way. I usually default all of them to just "show all threads," but my personal setting is that way too, so I wouldn't have noticed that.

Are there other forums that are defaulting to one day? In the day of fast connections, I can't think of any reason to have it default that way...

I love to read dynasties. I'd love to WRITE a dynasty for FM myself, but as I've said to others - when I get in a playing mood I really don't want to slow down and take the time to write - that's my conondrum. But I love a good FM dynasty, so put it wherever you want and I will read - just give us a heads-up where it ends up being.

*Wondering if there's room for an FM-groupthink dynasty?* thoughts?

Most likely I'm going to attempt to do another FM dynasty as well as soon as the 2nd patch comes out. More so for selfish reasons as it helps me get to know my team better and not speed through the game so fast (and then question what is going on when I inevitably fail).

Already decided I'll be managing Crewe.

Didn't feel like dirtying up your dynasty thread so early, NoSkillz, but I was wondering if you were going to wait for the next patch before getting to actually creating your career. Can't tell if you already have. I've seen Dec. 18th tossed out as a goal for the patch's release. Probably worth the wait.
