I'd be willing to get in on this. I nixed my YS few weeks ago and don't even bother pulling anymore now that it's crap(not that excellent has treated me any better the past two seasons). I'm ready for that change.

I seem to recall that in the original monster thread, Tjecken said international would work. HT-Global seems to have engulfed the thread though, so I guess we won't know until the official preview in a couple of months.

<HR> Are the youth teams playing in national or international leagues? Can I play in a league with friends from different countries?
<HR>
As I said, you can create your own series - meaning you can have a series with teams from different countries for example.

so is there a size limit to this or can we still get in?
Brillig
01-20-2007, 01:13 PM
No one knows for sure. Smart money suggests that the series limit will be eight, since that's less new code for the HT's. However, nothing keeps us from having multiple series. At a guess, if we have an odd number, we'll be able to fill out series with bots.
I like the idea. Count me in.

From Global (8122503.39) (http://www81.hattrick.org/Common/cn.asp?a=v&t=8122503&n=39)
HT-Thomas about the new YS system:
A cookie to chew on... :)
You'll get complete freedom in managing your own league from 4 to 16 teams. The largest leagues are supporter only features (ie. create them) but anyone may join unless you set it as private. Private means you'll have to invite all teams that should participate. You'll even be able to set the exact desired day and time when matches should be played in a 5 minute slot based system.

Nice catch :)
Now we've got 21 signed up so far, so we're too big for even a 16-team superleague... I guess we might go with two big leagues, or maybe three smaller ones. We'll see if there are more late signups I guess...

Update from the HTs
The move to the new youth system
The new youth system is nearing launch and one of the things most commonly asked is how the new system will replace the old, and if managers can switch between the two. We have decided to not force users to decide this immediately.
You can choose to:
- stay with the old system,
- jump over to the new one, or
- run (and pay for) both systems at the same time if you want.
However, you will only be able to recruit a youth player from ONE of the systems each week. This means it will be expensive to keep your options open, but you will at least have the chance.
-----------------------
Looks like I will keep both systems running for a while.
Count on me, i'll move to the new system (in fact i set the investement in current to zero 10 weeks ago).
