Seriously, I've been using HAM since forever, in addition to my self-made excel spreadsheet, which now stands at about 1.7 mb...

forgot to mention that it's not free, there's a license fee for it. There are some free programs, but I can't speak for them as it's been a very long time since I've use any of them...

I use Hattrick Organizer which is freeware and I've been happy with it. I'd give it a go.
