New Metallica Song

From a show yesterday in Germany. The sound is pretty crappy on these, but there's a very good, full version MP3 floating around. It's a definite step in the right direction, but James' vocals kill it ultimately. I swear, the guy had one of the greatest metal voices ever in the 80s, then he completely lost it while trying to learn how to sing, and 15 years later he still can't negotiate a middle ground between his growl and his attempt at singing. What a shame.

Awhile ago, while not having a choice and having to sit and listen to a few "New Metallica" songs, I pretty much came to the conclusion that James' singing was by far the most drastic change that Metallica went through from And Justice For All and Load. I also felt like I could almost like most of their new stuff if he still sang the way he did in the 80.
