Days after grabbing the exclusive rights for NFL console and computer gaming, Electronic Arts announced that they have rejected an offer by the National Hockey League.
Claiming sales of NHL '05 are lower than other EA titles such as Don Chevrier Curling 2005 and Amish Cart Racing II, the software giant rejected the sports league's overtures for NHL Scab '06 and Gary Bettman's Salary Cap Simulator.
Bettman was quoted as saying, "We just want to be relevant again."

I was going to parody the Muslim Civil Rights thread with "Mall of America believes *something* silver tights should be retail". Fortunately, I thought better of it.
Actually...I couldn't think of a parody word that sounded like Muslim :D

Now if only this can get as many posts as THE Hockey thread.
And what percentage of the people who bought NHL 2005 do think had no idea hockey is not being played... I'd guess around 70%

I'd buy it. I mean, I wouldn't pay as much as I would for a used copy of FOF1, but I'd buy it if the price was right.

One of the only parody threads I've actually laughed at.
Well played.
