I am in need of an offensive winger. My current guy is just not cutting it as his form keeps dropping every week. He once was a consistant 3.5 star winger but now puts up only 2.5 a game

Im hitting the markets looking but there seems to be so many factors affecting wingers, so what is the order of priority? Winger, Passing, Stamina, Playmaking, Scoring, Expierence?

I would like to get a guy that puts up 3.5 to 4.5 stars a game. Looking to spend between 400-600K but I can spend up to 1 million.

Anyone have a good model for wingers?

Thanks,
Jets

This is what makes a good offensive winger.

Winger, Playmaking and Stamina are the main skills with Passing being a nice secondary to have.

Scoring = 0 effect.

Experience = constant multiplier (aka it's nice to have, but not necessary)

Playmaking = Nice to have, but if you're already happy with your midfield production, doesn't really mean anything.

Stamina = ONLY ties in with playmaking - if you have playmaking in your winger, you MUST have stamina @ Solid or Excellent to go with it

Passing = Small multiplier for offensive winger - nice to have, but not important.

Winger = BY FAR the most important skill in an offensive winger. Mostly determines how good the wing attack rating for his side is.

How much money do you have to spend? That really makes the big difference in figuring what kind of guy to get.

Would like to only spend 400-600K.

It's just according to how much you need a midfield boost.

If you're only going for 400k-600k, what you're looking at is an excellent wing with inad pm, more or less. Also a formidable pure offensive wing(no secondaries) will be in that range.

Neither is better than the other, just more to one taste or another. If you want a little possession help, then get the guy with some PM..it won't help a lot, but it's a little helpful. If you straight up need side attack, just get the highest wing rating you can afford, with no secondaries.

As a whole, pure wingers (no secondaries) are highly undervalued. That means you can get an awful lot of production for a very minimal investment.

And, as always, look for weak+ experience in guy under ~25 (or 27 if you don't mind really old guys who you can still get a couple of seasons of production out of). Weak exp gets you an extra half star.

Yes he will, I just picked up one of these a few weeks ago. He a Formidable with inad. stamina and no secondaries. He puts up about 3* in passable or higher form. It was just above 450K for him

Defense: It does factor into the wing defense equation and nice to have but, in my opinion, is not a big enough factor to be considered a deal breaker one way or the other.

Nitpick: passing is not really a multiplier (as experience is). It's a skill that gets factored into the equation for that wing attack (like the winger skill itself).

Jets u were a step ahead of me. I was going to post a thread like this to get some info.

Ok to summarize, so that i understand thing clearly. If i buy, say a winger with formidable for that skill without any stamina and no secondaries, that will only boost attack ratings.(correct me if im wrong)

And if i buy a similar player with excellent for that skill with exe. stamina and say inad pm then it should boost my midfield rating somewhat along with attack ratings? right.

if all is correct above, then if im going to be running a 3-4-3 with one winger it would make sense for that winger to have pm skill so it can boost the midfield i will be lacking due to 4 players right?

Final note, if in a match i were to AIM then it would be best for the wingers to have some pm because then it would contribute a whole lot to midfield right? the winger skill in this position would be ignored kinda wouldnt it?

I know its long but i have been wanting to ask these questions for a long while now. thx for all answers.
