might as well been a clown ad :pTwo things . . .
1) So what? I don't know whether or not he'll hang around and post or not. Neither do you. Why not give the person a chance before making judgement? YOU weren't always a grizzled veteran of the FOFC Hattrick forum. Neither were others like terpkristin or TargetPractice6. I see all of these people as part of this forum now.
2) I don't see how this is comparable to a clown ad. We have a transfer thread and a separate clown ad selfishly clutters up the forum unnecessarily. I can see the significance of that. In this case, he's informing us of some news or function relating to Hattrick, which, to my understanding, is the point of this area of the forum. How is this different than frogger's Hattrix backdraft thread?

laurghita, I echo what daedalus and saintjo said and would also like to welcome you on our boards.
Don't worry about your English, it'll get better as you get more practice under your belt :)

daedy, don't get all worked up, it's not good for your heart ;)
I agree with you that saintjo's comment was probably a bit premature, but we've had people come in for one time posts in the past, especially clown ads. I have never been the bigest policeman about what's good to post or not, as long as it helps the HT community on this board.

daedy, don't get all worked up, it's not good for your heart ;)Being old and a fat ass is worse for my heart. :DI agree with you that saintjo's comment was probably a bit premature, but we've had people come in for one time posts in the past, especially clown ads.Yes, we have. And, if this had been an ad for his player, perhaps the response may have had a half of iota of validity. On the other hand, laurghita didn't. He posted information about a Hattrick website. I have always hated sites where its participants become insular and treat newcomers with disdain. The Hattrick portion of this forum has never been that way and I would hate to see it go there. I have never been the bigest policeman about what's good to post or not, as long as it helps the HT community on this board.I think you have done an excellent job as a moderator. But you already knew that.
