Why did Chris vote against Sarge? I can't really make sense of it. They had a chance to take it to the women, and then Chris votes for Sarge?

For some reason, I'm really getting sick of Survivor and the Apprentice. They edit it so poorly that you don't know what's going on. I think they've gotten lazy in their storytelling.
My guess is that the guys said, "We're gonna get voted off....let's just vote for whomever."
Did you notice that all three guys voted for someone different?

I don't know either. He said earlier that he could easilly out-smart and outplay everyone else. Perhaps he has a plan to divide off some of the women. I'm thinking he can't be all that smart if he didn't think of carving Twila and Scout out of the Women's camp since neither of them can deal with Eliza.
Amy was my early favorite. She just seemed to have a quality I liked during that first episode. My preview pick to win was Eliza, but I have come to the point where she is unbelievably annoying. She might make it far though, because I don't think I'm the only one she annoys.

The only possible explanation I have seen someone come up is this, taken from Survivor Sucks:
"I think Chris's move made sense to some degree.
The guys knew going in that Sarge was gone. They also knew that if the three of them voted for Julie they would have read the three Julie votes before the final Sarge vote.
I think the three of them decided to have one vote for Sarge, one for Julie and one for Eliza. This will put serious doubts in Eliza's mind as in her paranoid state is likely to consider that one of the girls voted for her.
Think about it. In Eliza's mind --- none of the guys would have voted for Sarge, so the five Sarge votes were from five girls. Since they did not show all of the guys votes (once again in Eliza's thinking), the last two must be for Julie, since the guys would definitely be voting as a block. So who voted for Eliza.
Obviously we know that this is incorrect, but if she is convinced that the guys would vote as a block and not vote for one of their own, she could be seriously wondering what the hell is going on.
Although it is unlikely that this will work, I think Chris thought it was worth it to throw some confusion in the girls mix.
Did you see the look of confusion on Eliza's face?"

You were led to believe one thing by the editing of the series, and of course, at the last minute the exact opposite of what you thought would happen did. Burnett and co. are all about confusing the viewers.

Sometimes I think they try too hard to throw you a curveball. Whoever they set up as about to get voted off rarely ever gets voted out. Last night, they showed the guys talking to Twila and she said she believed Sarge about the other girl tricking her into voting off Rory last week. So it seemed like she was throwing her vote back in with the guys, thus helping tip the scales. She even made a comment at tribal counsel about being more comfortable with the guys. And then she turns around and votes for Sarge. It just didn't make sense.

This is, by far, the worst season of survivor I've seen so far. The really fucked up and set the tone for the entire season by dividing the tribes male/female to start. That has made this the most predictable season thus far and the only way they can cover for it is by editing it the way they have. The final comment that was something along the lines of, "Individual Immunity can still carry someone to the end", was a sign of desperation, IMO. They know they fucked up this season and I really expect some immunity challenges that heavily favor males.

Well most of the athletic "alpha" males have gotten the boot. You have a guy with one leg, who is still pretty damn athletic, and a guy who can't cross a balance beam. So favoring the males is going to be pretty tough.
I do agree that this has been a bad Survivor, and that dividing the tribes by gender has doomed the middle-game.

The Apprentice is terrible. Totally entertainment, and the candidates aren't even business-savy. The Rebel Billionaire, is the same idea, but it actually has business-type people.

I don't care if every Survivor turns out to be as exciting as the Red Sox/Yankees pennant race. I still enjoy kicking back with the family and watching to see what happens.
(Heck, it's the only show we all like to watch!)
I also think that this year's Survivor is the worst by far.
The rules need to change. It used to be that in the middle game people started eliminating their strongest members due to them being competition. Now in the first weeks some of the strongest members were eliminated. The strategy has gone too far.
They should mix it up like in the Apprentice, where you want the weakest members to be in the room with you to give you a better chance of lasting the week. If you pick your best competition to go into the room, you will most likely be the one eliminated. Why not do something like that?
Anyways for the rest of this season, it's the catty bitches from a couple of guys that are dumb as bricks. Really fun.

I will have to say that these are the dumbest guys in history... Every time they've had a shot to make any reasonable alliance, they blow it... why vote off guys every chance you get once the tribes split? You really think John would have switched sides? Its as if they found the most idiotic men ever.

Yeah, this season's pretty bad for two main reasons.
1) Unlikeable/uninteresting people. Just a bad cast with very few exceptions.
2) Insanely bad strategy, especially by the men.
With Rory's elimination right before merge, the last hope for a satisfying outcome to the season went with him. Now, either the most loathsome alliance in Survivor history (the chicken wing hoarding women) will be successful, or one of the two remaining guys (who have been totally out-strategized throughout) will win. Nobody left would really make a satisfying winner.

I really was hoping to see Rory know that he was going to go home so we could witness him pulling an Operation Shutdown. Would have been good to see him sabotage the entire camp.

I don't know, I think I could live with Ami winning. At least she's playing the game pretty well, and she wasn't the instigator of the whole chickenwing bit. Of course, there could be more going on behind the scenes where she's a royal pain and they're just making her look good so we'll like the winner...

Oh man i cannot stand the wench. She is like some little queen bee. It is amazing how she has total control over the women. Oh well what can you do, the men have no one to blame but themselves. This quite possibly the dumbest group of men. Some of the younger guys that got the axe early on might have been a little smarter. It is almost like they got a group of men that had never watched the show before. I do agree definitely the worst survivor so far.

Apparently, Ami posed for Playboy about 8 years ago. And Playboy says she is a lesbian. Adds a certain dynamic to the female alliance and her dominant role in it.
yeah I've seen the pictures, they were pretty good. Could hardly tell it was her (maybe that's why...) And there are two lesbians in the female alliance, with her and Scout. How nasty would it be to see them hook up?

Julie and Ami would be good but please no Scout. Nasty nasty.

Yeah the link for some Denise Richards had the pictures of Ami. Trust me they must have been at least 8 years ago because she looked pretty nice.

I don't understand how people would hate watching a show filled with chicken-wing hording lesbian women.
It's better than the Super Bowl Halftime Show and Saving Private Ryan put together.

I must have missed the episode where the women horded the Chicken Wings. You just have to watch every week, or there is no telling what you might miss.

I wouldn't go that far. I think she's playing ok and everyone else just sucks horribly at playing the game. Any of the classic survivor players would eat her alive.

Actually, I don't really disagree with that. Relative to the rest of the players on this season, she is playing great and pretty much dominating (although I think Julie is playing a decent game also). Would've been interesting if Rob Mariano had been on this cast going head-to-head with Ami and her subjects.
Very disappointing season strategy-wise. Nine seasons in, I would have hoped for better.
