Star Vs. NSI Question

IN my Cup win last night (6th biggest Cupset according to Hatstats) FoG had a 7 star deficit yet had an NSI 12 points higher. I played normal.

Is this due to Home team? Did he PIC? Is it his AOW? Did I have better TS?

Or just an unknown combination of all these factors gave me a 180-168 TSI lead (I also played with 10 men for 60 minutes or so, if that enters in- Would I have had a higher NSI if not for the red card ? It was my CD, btw.)

Still trying to figure out how this all ties into the engine at higher levels.

Well, I'd guess that losing the CD to a red card resulted in you getting 3* less in total than you would have (or more), but at the same time, with you being down for 60 minutes or so, that would be reflected somewhat in your defense ratings.

Probably most of the rest is being at home, PIC vs. normal/MOTS (if you didn't PIC), better TS for you, that sort of thing. Maybe confidence as regards attack ratings.
